Both completionist and exterminator. I did every last quest in Skyrim, leveled up every skill, and just to top it all off, committed a mass killing of a few major cities. Didn't want to feel like there was anything left to do.
I@Shelledfade1 I'd rather play a game that takes risks with its story and gameplay, succeeds, and pushes us forward in some way, rather than a game that takes risks in not offering gameplay. I like Journey, but these other games took much greater risks, and while not all payed off, such as ME3's ending, they worked in other places, like the whole Dishonored, or The Walking Dead.
@fullmetalhollow @darksoul1968 While Journey does push the medium forward in some ways, and it is a great game, it doesn't necessarily deserve GOTY. Looking at the other games, these are games that also pushed games forward, also had many themes, and also show why our medium is so great. Journey deserves recognition, but the way they're praising it suggests it should have won special achievement awards. What about games that provided a better "game" experience, like Dishonored? What about the other games that made people cry, like The Walking Dead? Journey offers a lot, but these other games are practically getting robbed of recognition they deserve, and I'm not sure everybody thinks we should give GOTY to "important" games over simply incredible games.
@Texasguy I think one of the major differences is that you can kill a lot of people with guns, but I'm guessing it's a little difficult to kill someone with a video game.
