Ouch, the poor sap was just excited, no need to chop his head off. At least he didn't start a whole new thread. It also says Socom has trophies, but it doesn't, at least not yet. The first page is so slow at being updated. I'm excited too, ROCK BAND 2 has TROPHIES!!!!! And I know it probably says that somewhere on the first page, but this is the trophy sticky, so thought I would shout it out.

This game is a sleeper hit, I say that and it has been advertised in gaming magazines off and on in the last two months, but it is from EA which means it can be hit or miss, but they hit it with this. The game has good controls and an awesome story. The trophies make it have some replay value as you won't be able to get all of them by playing it once.

As far as scary goes, it's a very eerie game as you walk through the ship's corridors with lights flickering, noises around you, the growls of creatures, etc...... It's enough to keep you tensed up while playing and probably raise your blood pressure a few. What makes the game somewhat scary is that you have to force yourself to walk into the room where you hear wierd noises, where as a movie takes you there. The voices you hear make it creepy too!

If you are looking for game length, I'm guessing around 12-16 hours, maybe even 20 on hard. Game is about 12 chapters and I'm playing it on medium which is averaging just over an hour per chapter. I'm currently on chapter 7, but have been playing rockband 2 all night, so it will probably be a few days before i get back on dead space.

Ok, so i picked up Rock Band 2 at midnight tonight - they had like 5 full sets for ps3 and 50 for xbox, funny thing was that the 4 people waiting for them to be brought out all got the PS3 version, but anyways.

While playing for a couple hours tonight, I got about 7 trophies. I decided to look at what it takes to get more and you better be dedicated if you want to get them all, many require you to finish songs on expert with 100% notes hits on each instrument. I'm glad to see the game had trophy support at launch, just like dead space. I'm disappointed in Socom for not having it at release, even though it says so on the box. Now if they'll just add the RB2 game on the trophy card site so I can update, maybe tomorrow.....

Yes, always handle the outside edge of the disc and I always put it back in the original case.

Sort of - have to leave the door open on the entertainment center when playing otherwise the fans run at max and it sounds like a jet taking off.

Whenever it starts to look dusty, every other month or so.

Nope

Yep, it's pulled a 24'r here and there.

Not unless I forced it to shut down on a lock up. If it doesn't give me any reaction to the PS button, I touch the power and it beeps three times and shuts off, then all is good. This happens once every couple months, barely notice it.

15) Have any of your games crashed on the PS3 at all, requiring you to reset the console?

Not while playing, I've had a game crash once or twice while loading but I think it was searching for the internet and my router was the cause.
