NO! The current Rock Band drums will not work on GHWT because they don't have the cymbals. The RB2 drum set will work on GHWT if you buy the Madcatz cymbal set (it has a place to wire it in).
Wondering the same thing myself. Toysrus told me on Wednesday that they already had it in stock, just can't sell it to me until Sunday. Going to check Walmart and Best buy in a few minutes and will report back.
Take SR2 back to walmart and say you got it as a gift and would like to exchange it for a different game because you already have it. They will ask for your driver's license and allow you to return an unopened item 3 times within a certain period (i've hear 3 months, 6 months, and 1 year). Just hang on to it until FallOut 3 is released, and make sure Walmart has it as they never complain about a game exchange, but if you just try to get a refund with no receipt, it's 50/50. I have an extra copy of Dead Space that I got from Toysrus, and I'll be exchanging tomorrow for RB2.
Both systems are good, but I feel that the PS3 has an edge. The Xbox came out a year earlier, so it has an extra year of games then the PS3. Keep in mind, both systems have their own exclusives that make it worth owning both. I own all 3 of the next gen systems, but I owned the 360 first. When the Wii came out, I picked up one and abandoned by 360 for a while, but eventually returned because the Wii gets old fast. Picked up a PS3 shortly afterwards (a little over a year now) and have only played the 360 for exclusives since then. All of my new purchases are on the PS3, it just seems like a more solid system that is constantly being updated with even better features. If you want a 360 really bad, pick up an arcade version for 199 and just use if for exclusives.
99% of the world wouldn't of even noticed if they didn't say anything, but as much as I hate to see it delayed, I'm glad they are making things right, Microsoft had the same problem and didn't recall it before launch, so they got some bad rap for it.
I have way too many games to play, so I've only been focusing on those with Trophies right now. Debating on leaving Saints Row 2 in the package until trophies are released. I hate playing a game to have to go back and play it all over for trophies, especially when it may take a couple plays to get them all. Oh well, I'm a trophywhore and I know it, although from the site of some of your PS3 trophy cards, your more of one then me, but I'm making progress, lol....
