Depends on what you want to do with it. I have the 60 gig and I have filled my HD many times just playing games, but I own almost 70 games and some take a 5 GB install. You can delete the game file and keep your saved data when you finish a game so not a big deal. If your going to download movies, you'll want a lot of HD space, I don't personally do that as its cheaper to rent most then it is to download them. If you want a PS3 bad, get the 80gb, you can always upgrade the HD to a 250 or 500 GB later.
As far as games go, this would be my recommendation:
- Resistance, Uncharted, MGS4, and LBP. Then pick up Resistance 2 in a couple weeks. The first is only 30 bucks at the most these days and Uncharted can be found for 35-40 if you look around. Motorstorm is ok, but gets old fast, but then again its only 30 bucks these days, so its worth it. Burnout Paradise is great, you can find it for 20 bucks on sale all the time, plus it has trophies!
I haven't event taken up more that 15 gb on my ps3, yet Sony sells an 80 GB model (which i own).

I have the original 60 GB PS3 and I wish it was more like 250GB, I know I can update it, just haven't yet. If you own a lot of games, you'll need the space. Numerous games take between 2-5 GB installs, which eats up a HD fast, especially when you own almost 70 games. I find myself constantly deleting game data in order to play something else, so yeah 80 GB is decent, but more would be better.
Do RockBand drums work with GH:world tour?
daveversion1
Yes, but it condenses it down to 4 pads and the kick pedal verus the 5 pads and kick pedal you get if you have the GHWT drum kit, at least this is what I hear. I think there are some videos on youtube about it. So it sounds like it will work, but you'll won't get to play that extra row of color (which makes the game more challenging IMO). I know madcatz makes a cymbal set that will plug in to the RB2 drum set, but I hear that it doesn't add extra functionality it simply replaces certain drum pads to give it a more realistic feel. There are some other threads on here about this, search around.
Ok, so checking out page 1, it hasn't been updated in a while, so in case anyone cares (or doesn't), here is some info on games that came out over the past week.
Socom - says it has trophies on the game case, but doesn't - will be patched in sometime soon.
Saints Row 2 - no trophies on the disc - I hear it is suppose to be patched, but who knows when.
Dead Space - has trophies, comes with them on the disc.
Rock Band 2 - has trophies, comes with them on the disc.
Hope this helps if anyone cares what new games have trophies, I wish Sony would force this on developers sooner. I would think any game that doesn't come with them and it has achievements on the xbox, will get them one day if the game is a good seller.
