I can't wait for the games that will come out 6 months to a year from now. Once developers have a better understanding of the Cell processor and how to best utilize its capabilities. Those are the games that will really wow people. It's too bad that they couldn't come sooner...
I say it's a great choice. I too had already planned on buying Blu-Ray and decided on the PS3 because who knows... sometime down the road there are going to be some outstanding games that may interest me. If I bought a stand alone player I'd be shelling out twice as much for what I alread have.
You can't really compare the Wii to the other systems that are out right now. It's a different kind of game system. Just because it's a new system doesn't make it "next gen" so you really have to ask yourself what kind of games you're looking to play. Do you want something that just about anyone off the street can pick up and enjoy with you? Or doyou want something that will keep you isolated and mashing buttons in your room? I ended up buying a Wii because I now have something that I can play with members of my family. I may still end up getting a PS3 later on once the prices go down but I may run into the problem of having to share the tv with whoever is on the Wii.
I was at Circuit City yesterday and noticed this piece of equipment on the selves. Rechargeable batteries for the Wii remote and I was wondering if anyone here has used this hardware. If so have you run into any problems with it? Do the batteries last a good amount of time?
I think we might see Gumshoe when that Wii zapper comes out. There weren't that many zapper games to begin with so it makes sense to release them all. Duck Hunt, Gumshoe, Hogan's Alley... there were only a couple more ...right?
It would be nice to get some updates for these games but I doubt you'll see them. Especially since there is already another golf game out and Tiger Woods will be coming out shortly.
