socom like many cult classic games is an aquired taste. you will find that in 2-3 years people will still be playing this game, which can't be said for many other games, but having said that many people find the learning curve to be too much, either way its a great deal to buy the combo deal with the mic. any fan of shooters should look in to socom this time around, as for the beta issues... its a beta and thats its point- to have and identify issues.
your question is vague, but there are videos and game demos readily available for you to download. keep in mind not all games get demos or videos, but those that do are there for you entertainment. enjoy.
i have been in multiple betas before but for some reason this one, even with so many keys floating around, has been the most difficult to get. but it is amazing to see the different contest sites offer to get these codes out, and the hard work put forth to make it fair. look at gs they spent all weekend sorting emails to make sure someone didnt sumbit 50 emails to get 50 codes. which sucks for me, i accidently forgot to put the letter of the answer, so i responded again with the letter, which probably invalidated my email. but congrats to those enjoying it and good luck to the others.
full 1080p running at a silky smooth 60 fps is definately worth it, and then the gameplay is exactly what fans have come to expect from the series, if you have 20 bucks this is the psn title you should be picking up.
with the huge amount of great games in october and november, i honestly feel that if you havent bought bf:bc by now you shouldnt. i bought it and it was great for about 2 weeks, but it quickly sinks in to the list of average games. i would just hold out till the 14th and get socom.
some of the hate comes from people that were in the private beta that didnt like the change of direction the game took. many complained the game imitated features from other big shooters of the past year instead of holding true to the first game. while insomniac has an amazing track record, i think its unfair that many people give pheonominal acclaim to a game they havent played yet. im not saying r2 is going to be goty or a sinker, but hold off till you taste the game to grade the game.
resistance is a particular breed of shooter, the first resistance is what really got me in to the genre, and in to online gaming, which also got me a spot in an advance preview of r2. the resistance series isnt for everyone though, but its worth a shot, but just know the ps3 has plenty of shooters so if resistance isnt your thing youve got options.
