Assassins Creed deserves a 10ParadiseAwaits

how do you know it deserves a 10??? Did you play through it ENTIRELY already? Im willing to bet, in fact, that you have never even seen a DISC that says Assasins Creed on it. Give me a break.

When the game comes out, you will be one of the people disapointed because the game wont be perfect. Then wyou will start threads bashing the game inhere like other people did about GOW and Bioshock and Halo 3, just because you had idiotic and unreasonably HIGH expectations of the game, knowing only what you hear about it from the media. Some people never learn

well I mean honestly...with all the great games that have been coming out starting in August with Bioshock, Halo 3 in September, The Orange Box in October, and STILL having Assasins Creed, Mass Effect, and Call of Duty 4 all before Christmas, its hard to believe anyone would be paying attention to that game. Maybe it will be decent, but there are many much better games to look forward to.

it is INCREADIBLY pathetic that Mass Effect recieved more votes than the other games on the list. How can anyone be so sure, IF THEY NEVER PLAYED IT YET??? When games get this hyped, half of the people get disapointed, then we see 1000 threads in this forum about how much the game sucked, even if the game was decent. In fact, that game shouldnt even be on the list. No one should vote for it without having played it. Thats liek voting for the president without knowing what he really stands for...just going on your gut feeling.

When are people going to learn.

[QUOTE="catanzariti"]ok so orange box is out in 4 days in australia and have 2 copys pre ordered 9 dont ask why 2). I am gonna play thru the half life series first and was wondering whats changed in half life 2 graphics wise from the original xbox version and /or PC version. Does it look next gen nice and crisp or still dull looking? I have HDTV 1080i btwLLCoolKo

Well, graphics don't necessarily make a game, look at some nintendo games, they have bad graphics, but they are overall fun(just giving example, I'm not being a fanboy, I don't even own a wii) any ways, it is a great game non the less, good graphics over all, and should make you happy.

Well graphics mean more to different people, I like very good graphics, and I fnd it hard to find a game fun without good graphics.

Finally someone who admits it! All i ever read in here is that graphics dont matter. I knew i wasnt the only one! hahah. But seriously, I do find that for me at least, great graphics dramitically can increase the immersiveness of a game. Of equal importance is the sound design, especially since i play in 5.1 Surround. What i loved about Gears of War and Bioshock (aside from the game play) was how well both of those games did at presenting the audio and video. I found myself sucked in immediately. So while ill admit that graphics and sound arent everything, and really wont help much if the core of the game is not good...they sure do go along way to help (or ruin) the overall experience, and are not aspects of a game that should be ignored.

I will never understand why people equate the number of players in a match with the quality and fun of the match. That to me is simple minded and in some cases goes against logic. First off, in order for a 32 person match to be fun, the maps would have to be huge. And I mean huge as in over twice the size of anything in halo 3. Up to 8 vs 8 is just fine and actually ideal for xbox live.

Same as people who would complain about PGR3 only having 8 players per race. Do you really want to race against 32 people on a small track? Imagine the Nurbugring (however you spell it) track with 16 people on it. Give me a break....8 players for that game was PERFECT. Yet...some people still see it as a flaw. Uggh.

unlimited, unpunishedrespawns? This feature really made the game pointless for me and, as a result, i have hardly played it.

julianwelton

No Punishment? I found myself in a lot of tough respawn areas and ran out of all my ammo more than a few time so left with no defenses I'd have to look everywhere for left over ammo and supplies it wasn't exactly easy.

yeah...see the people that complain about having no punishment dont understand that after a few respawns, having to run around with a wrench actually is punishment. Death in the game is just handled so that its a little more lenient than other games are. And there is nothing wrong with that. I Guess these people have no imagination or self reliance to actually try to play the game the right way without dying too much, regardless of what "punishment" there may be.

I will never understand that complaint. Why do some people NEED to have the game force the difficulty on them. Have some initiative of your own and try to play the game the right way, and try not to die on your own. Why should punishment be what makes the game challenging? PErsonally i HATE dying in video games, so i avoid it at all costs, no matter what the punishment is. Thats what I did in Bioshock. To the point where I hardly ever died through most of the game. So I barely even used the vita chambers. I didnt really even care that they were there.

The game was too cool to let something trivial like that affect how much i enoyed it....i chugged along and worked around the little things that I didnt like. No game is perfect. You get what you put into it.

yeah you are right. why would halo and "orange box" get such high scores? they are not nearly as good as many other games. i play shadowrun erry time over halo 3. halo 3 is really a big overhyped disappointment. im wondering if mass effect really does have an action game feel in an rpg. that kind of combo is ideal, i hope its a gears-like rpg, that would be great.guppieface

The problem with halo 3 is not that it is overhyped. What halo 3 does, it does supremely well. In reality its a great game. But the problem is that it is MORE of the same. Its starting to get a little old. People have been playing more or less the same game since 2001. Halo CE was groundbreaking....Halo 2 added to it...and now Halo 3 is like "ok this is still cool but...*yawn*"

So we have become a little jaded with the halo universe, and rightfully so. Ive been playing the single campaign since its release, and im only on level 7. Not because i am having a hard time finishing it, but because i really am not that motivated to pick up the controller to play it. When i do play it i have fun, but its just not as exciting anymore.

So in a way im a little disapointed in Halo 3....but to be honest I didnt expect anything different. I got exactly what I expected...great gameplay, great graphics, perfectly tuned multiplayer. Really there isnt much to complain about objectively. Subjectively speaking, im glad this is the last one and I cant wait for bungie to release something new and fresh.
