@bmart970 Did you ever play Skyrim or Mass Effect with Kinect? I think it streamlined those games greatly. Also I think as we see more MMO's on consoles voice controls will be the new hotkeys.
@Raymond11 The real problem is that without a PS Eye in every box, developers have absolutely no reason to take advantage of it. Sort of like what happened with the Move and to an extent Kinect. Every Xbox One has a Kinect with it, so developers can program options at least that every single Xbox One owner can use if they so choose.
The main thing I wanted this gen was some innovation, and Kinect brings that. I mean you can program new animations with Project Spark with Kinect 2. I realize the first Kinect wasn't a huge hit with the forum going crowd, but I liked it a lot, especially when they used it to add to an experience like Skyrim, Forza, Mass Effect or Halo Anniversary.
Sony is basically sending their camera out to die, which is a shame because they focused on it so much at the PS4's reveal, and removed it simply to beat a price point. If they were so confident in their hardware, software and features they should have just went head to head and offered their camera with every one. Now the PS4 is the only next gen console without a camera.
@noandno @force_user1975 @RicanV Sony did talk about movies and their "entertainment" apps coming to PS4. Microsoft showed nothing but games at E3 and still people got angry. I have a feeling that no matter what Microsoft does, they wont be able to win over the angry internet Sony fans that weren't going to buy the Xbox One anyway.
How is this different than Sony going and making movies? Isn't there going to be Ratchet And Clank and Gran Turismo movies? Obviously Microsoft has the money to pull off entertainment and games, hence why they spent 1 billion on exclusives and games in the first year alone for Xbox One. I don't understand the hypocrisy of some people.

@TristanPR77 What devs are saying this exactly? Real devs like Carmack and Kojima say they're basically the same thing, but even if the PS4 were more powerful, the PS3 was the most powerful console this gen, didn't really do much for Sony. The Vita is hands down more powerful than the 3DS, but we know how that's working out.
@untouchables111 Or do what they did this gen, dev it on Xbox and port it to PlayStation. Far easier to simply finish it, port it to the stronger console than to dumb it down. Since they are close in specs, I don't think either will have to be gimped. It isn't Wii vs Xbox 360/PS3 we're talking about.
