I think the game publishers and makers have done enough. ESRB system shows EXACTLY what is in the games. There is a policy that most distributors will ONLY sell up to Mature rating only. Game distributors have another policy not to sell mature titles to anyone under the age of 18 and request ID. I see it a all the time at Gamestop, Best BUy and Wal-Mart. The paents have to buy the game and some instances are reminded that this is a mature rated title.

Gun violence in the US is decreasing on average, while video games and movies/tv become more graphic.

How about we study that?

I remember the whole Hot Coffee and Mass Effect bruhaha with sex in video games. They are once again trying to blame games and entertainment media as ills of our society.

I hope Obama doesn't let this crap cloud his judgement. I remmeber in 2008 he talked about GTA 4. Stated that "kids don't spend $60 on these games, parents do". That right there is all that needs to be said.

This is rather standard of EA. BUy a great developer, and once they hit a bump in the road it's time to shore up the profit margin and start executing.

@Stiler

See I don't buy that completely. Bioware had FULL creative control, they ran the show literally. Unless someoene from Bioware comes out and says EA corporate told them do certain things.

Bioware: Full control of Mass Effect 1 and 2

FUll Control: Dragon Age

It was the fan reaction to Mass Effect 3 and the trouble with SWTOR that caused this issue. They spent 200 mill on a MMO, and it's looking like it will fail (I still think they can turn it around). Maybe Bioware had some better ideas that EA and Lucasarts didn't like, but they had control. Also all this is HIGHLY premature. I can't count the number of times a star developer floundered a bit. It's happened to everyone.

@EasyComeEasyGo Man you are in for a real treat. Play ZOE1 again first, then play ZOE2, that way you can get the full effect with all the advancements.

ZOE 1, full of promise

ZOE 2: Promises realized and bar raised to epic heights. It feels just like a anime.

@jdt532 Agree about DA2, not sure what happened there but it was not as good as DA: Origins by any stretch. ME3, up until the last 10 minutes it was one of the best games I ever played. After those 10 minutes I was numb. The Old Republic actually turned out better than I thought. I just think the lot of us are burnt out on MMO's right now. I am not sure how I will feel about Guild Wars2 when it comes out.
