@PowerDingALing PC players are irrelevant to the discussion, since the online sessions on each console are only shared with others on that same console.
@boardsport311 To date, the only multiplat to perform better on XOne than PS4 is CoD, though the resolution is only a full 1920x1080 part-time on Microsoft's console. The rest of the multiplat titles to date have either performed equally with lower resolution and duller textures, or worse with equal graphics or lower resolution and duller textures.
Though I do agree Sony has a next-gen console with less functionality than its previous-gen console, not to mention plenty of issues with its online functionality and overall stability, the XBox is still adding functions that have been on the Playstation from the start.
@Slim_Lyrics @durpdurp1234 But that is'n true. There is overwhelming consensus--both among fans and critics--that Destiny did not live up to the hype. Of course different people have different tastes, but Destiny can be measured by objective standards too.
And let's not forget that your demigod Danny is just a corporate shill who is attempting to shift the blame for Destiny's lukewarm reception away from himself and his bosses. For once, we have a game that seems not to generate masses of vitriol or derision among gamers; we seem to be in agreement that the game isn't as good as we thought it would be. Some people think it sucks, others think it's mediocre, and some thing it's great, but most are "meh." Danny saying otherwise is simply untrue.
In short: Please don't hold GameSpot accountable for the hypetrain it rode to millions of clicks and advertising dollars now that Destiny has not lived up to it. (And, sidenote, let's pretend that Destiny is "divisive" rather than being the first game in a while that actually has a fairly strong consensus as being mediocre).
@dmblum1799 You're making it too complicated. Besides, there are plenty of sports in which people excel in spite of the fact that they demonstrate none of the qualities listed above, outside of skill. A nasty curveball does not require power or strength. It requires skill. Precise motions. It's hardly different than something like archery, or even target shooting, which only requires as much strength as it takes to pull the string or hold up the gun.
"Sport" is as ambiguous a term as art. You want to say eSports are just games, but so is football. What makes football also a sport? Physical exertion? eSports requires physical exertion as well, just less. It's more about timing and precision than tossing a log, but why should that disqualify it?
@F-Minus @durpdurp1234 I don't think you know what mockery means, brother. But congrats and stepping up and filling in what you perceived to be a lack of name-calling.
