... Just come from over at IGN - Gamespot has been my go-to gaming place for about 10 years.
But this one was an eye-opener: At IGN an honest review in progress: "2016 has been a year with many great games [mentions valid examples] .... Infinite Warfare ISNT ONE OF THEM".
Followed by a long list of things to back this. Matches what players report on steam & metascore.
Gamespot: meanwhile is sucking Activisions *stick* as hard as they possibly can. With out as much A Grain of Critical Journalism.
Gamespot writers; you'r about as good as the average commercials catalogue. Shame.
Same thing happened w. Mafia 3. GS was tooting its horn untill launch and commercial money had been raked in. Then, the honest review came... after players who read it for advice... Had bought it.
IGN is my new preferred gaming site after this clear demonstration.
Beautiful. A game not yet released has "gone gold" - its not "ready", "finished" or [I'm sure] "ready from beta-testers".
No, "its gold". Gotta love the crap-spin.
And having memory of some of Ubi's recent games and their customer 'support' - banning people who complain about their products - then ''gold'' isnt exactly the word that comes to mind. Another one on the other hand does. But I think you smell that..
Tried it. It wont lie: the graphics are nice. The ideas are definately appealing and it plays smooth on my laptop gaming cpu [yes, laugh away, but it plays most things incl. this at ultra' ;- ]
However; I didnt pay a cent. And will come back sometime in 2020 when its finished. Untill then I prefer to use my gaming-time and dl [24gig] on games that are actually finished.
Thanks for the tech-demo though.
