You know what, I didn't think too much on Dragons Dogma. It just didn't appeal to me and I love the RPG scene. I'm glad I was wrong and even happier for the developers. Maybe when it gets cheaper during the holidays, I'll give it a chance and see what the buzz was about.

Like any console, as long as it has a decent library of games and that it continues to grow said library, Ouya will be a success.

Being the first out the gates is extremely important, but so is sustaining the lead. When the Wii came out it was totally different from any consoles we've seen. That ingenuity was enough to make a clean break from the PS3 and 360. However as the years passed, the games just weren't just up to par. I saw a lot more bargain basement games from the Wii library than the 360 and PS3. Eventually people did start to get bored... I would like to see Nintend embrace more 3rd party developers with AAA releases than relying on their inhouse development team to carry them.

I couldn't have phrased it any better! Blizzard making a very Non-Blizzard game in D3!

I played D2 when it first came out 15 or so years ago. Granted its been on/off for the past 15 years, but the game still holds weight. Its simple yet complex gameplay stands the test of time.

D3 will have none of that. Unless there is a giant change from their core gaming mechanics, D3 will not have the staying power its predecessor had.

I think that if LA failed to get a deal going, then the 2nd potential city would have been Las Vegas or even San Diego. A majority of the gaming industry hails from the West Coast.

Even with this new 3 year contract, I hope that E3 has some exit-clause attached to its contract if the construction the football stadium (whenever if ever it happens) becomes a hassle. Or at least a some financial/tax breaks..

E3 generates roughly 40 million for the city during the convention.

I always wish for any gaming company to succeed with the exception to THIS company. Calling them a game company is an insult, but since they are grouped in this category, there is nothing I can do to convince otherwise. I find Zynga to be EVIL INCARNATE. They take IP from other lesser known developers and plagiarize it. I hope this company bankrupts and its CEO's tank in whatever endeavor they start up. In their own words "Stop trying to make new games, copy their games, make it better and take their players." That is the Zynga philosophy. I wish nothing but ill will towards that company.

F2P is the model for games that tried the MMO, tanked, and are looking to recover SOME money for their game.

I honestly believe they would have made more money if it was a simple RPG than an MMO. The market can only handle ONE subscription based MMO right now, everything else is just asking to lose an investment.

They get points for trying!

This was an overly ambitious game with a lot of hype. It didn't fully deliver, but it was surprisingly enjoyable! I logged in roughly 70+ hours to finish everything that was open to me. I did get bored cause the quests and map layout started to be the same dungeon, cave, castle, etc.

There is plenty of room for improvement. If EA would spend a few more on it, this game can truly shine. I would rework the skill tree so its different for EVERY class. Randomize the dungeons or have each special zone unique. And get some crazier loot.

This should apply to the big 3 as a whole. Smart Phone and tablet gaming will always be around, but it should not replace what handhelds and consoles offer. When I play games on my cell phone its just to kill time as I wait for something else. Now when I use my console, PC, handheld... its cause its gaming time and I want to immerse myself.

However, I do agree that these companies need to find that spark of ingenuity. Something these consoles can offer gaming wise that no other phone or tablet can. As it is, the power of these Iphones and tablets are growing every year. And if the last E3 is any indication, there is a growing trend of mobile gaming coming in the next few months. And those games aren't too shabby...

The very last Ultima I had was on SNES. This will bring back memories and the fact that its free is a bonus!
