@deviltaz35: There's a lot of things you can depict in gaming and people won't bat an eye. But there are also things that will raise eyebrows. A minigame that deals with slavery and TERTRIS is quite comedic, but there will be segment of the American population that won't find that funny.
Much less if there was a game called Concentration Camp Simulator: Auschwitz Rising... that wouldn't fly with a bunch of people. Nor would a game called Pedo Pedo Revolution... you see what I'm getting at?
Just because you slap it into a video game doesn't make it right. Slavery is history and should be treated in a respectful manner because some sect of people still firmly believe that it still influences us today.
I honestly gave laugh when I read this article but the developers should have known better. Seriously.. Slavery Tetris on a boat, thats internet comedy gold!
Are they serious!? Who the hell thought this would be okay? The game is essentially squeezing in black slaves into a compact boat... I am all for accurate depiction of historical times, but this was too much. Kudos though to the game developer... technically he was correct in Slave Tetris mini-game.
I had this game when I was a kid.... The game itself was not bad! If there was such a thing as Intro to RPG 101, Mystic Quest would be it! It wasn't too punishing, it followed a path. If I could recommend an RPG for kids, this would be it.
Seriously, DA:I wins GOTY and its only been out ONE.... MONTH... and not even then. There were plenty of games out for serious contention.... but a game that has only been out for one month is now mysteriously GOTY, you can't tell me that politics and sponsorship didn't play a role.
<< LINK REMOVED >> It took EQ a very long time to get knocked out of #1 and that game is still around. In fact it took a game like WoW to come around. I haven't heard of any new MMO that would come close to even attempting to truly be a WoW killer. A dozen or so tried and failed...
