@dino7c: One of the games was a multiplat release effectively. BotW came to Switch and Wii U simultaneously. It's unfair to call it a port of an old game.

It is not unfair to call Bayonetta 2 a port of an old game though, but the good news is we'll get a 3rd one, which is only for Switch, and it'll probably be pretty good, too!

@heqteur: 10 does not mean perfect, it means essential. There are no perfect games, but there are legendarily great ones, and the Switch seems to be loaded with the darn things.

Get bent, #MeToo. He may or may not have been a sexist pig, but regardless of that there is no denying that he pioneered video games. Stop being puritannical.

@Marky360: Please don't get an XBox One X - it really isn't a good console. PC can play everything the XBox One X can, but the reverse is not true. It's a very bad value and will continue to be so until the XBox One X can play PC games.

Unless you want to play Halo, of course. Halo is nice, but I have a feeling it'll come to PC soon, which I am more than fine with.

I would go for a prebuilt system personally. Heck, even an iMac 5K with Windows installed is looking pretty good right about now.

@hall0559: They are doing it specifically to try to smite miners. They want miners to use their Quadro or Titan line-up, and for the GeForce cards to be exclusively for gamers.

What they plan to do long-term to make sure that GeForce cards aren't good for miners remains to be seen.

Get an OLED. If you don't, you get horrible black levels, regardless of whether it's HDR or not. Just get OLED. If you can't afford it, sit with your 1080p or 1440p display for another two years, then go. I bought a 4K HDR LED, and I bitterly regret it.

@customx5: No, but Apple could have done what they do on the Mac: If the battery degrades, the OS tells you that it has degraded, and to seek a replacement. You can still slow down the phone and give this as a reason, but the most important part is to INFORM THE USER WHEN HIS DEVICE IS BROKEN AND HOW TO FIX IT. And up until 2008, all the batteries in every Mac was user replaceable, although if they're only going to charge $29 for the repair, I'm not going to complain about that.

@johno357: Yes, they do. And so do Android phones. Modern batteries are annoyingly fickle things. They don't deliver the voltage they should as they age, which is why this happened, and we've had problems with them blowing up in the Galaxy phones, and of course there's the whole debacle with batteries not working when it's too cold.

@xantufrog: That's correct. It's a Windows 10 app and it uses XBox Live, although I don't think you need Gold for matchmaking.
