It doesn't look bad, but it doesn't look nearly as dynamic and open as they are talking about. Multiple options should mean more than shoot the oil patch or climb above everyone. Maybe there's more that I'm not seeing.
I think it's the movement options that I'm not liking. The moss and rope arrows made navigation more interesting than what's shown here.
I figured Bravely Default was a play on words indicating that the studio was bravely making a more traditional, or default, JRPG. It would seem to be a brave move to make a game like that these days.
@theshonen8899 Focus only on the animation of the player, not the environment or waves. It's pretty easy to see how much smoother the animation is. You probably have to be able to play the high quality video too. At lower quality, it might have artifacts and blur together.
Especially look at him when he pulls out his pistol to zoom in.
You have an interesting interpretation of "for the better."
So you are killing a feature that maybe not a lot of people use, but keeps a dedicated cadre of people that can draw others into the site? Okay, we don't have the numbers that you do, but off-hand that seems pretty short sighted.
The forum stuff is not "better" for anyone who has been an active forum member. Customizing the look and feel made Gamespot easier for me to use and browse. Losing it is a pretty big deal.
I hope you guys aren't looking to the new sites like Polygon or the increasingly useless Fuse service for the new design because I gotta tell ya, if you are just gonna try to be like all the other guys then I'll have no particular reason to hang out here instead of at one of those other places.
