I honestly expect Nintendo to creat/use their own form of media that displays HD visuals, and trys to prevent piracy

I don't expect them to use BluRay due to the fact of what Jayson said.... they'd have to pay Sony royalties. Not gonna happen.

I think if Nintendo knew they weren't going to sell copies of this game, they wouldn't have published it. Common sense

So I just finished Shadows of the Empire on the N64. 8 Star Wars games I've played, and this the worst Star Wars title / worst N64 title I've every played. Worst lighting of any video game I've ever played. 3 levels were literally pitch black, gray, and blue. Several times I've been trapped in pitch black randomly going nowhere and using my jetpack in a tight area. Controls are clunky, and the camera doesn't work for this game. The PC actually got voice acting and actual footage in the cut scenes. The N64 version just had screen shots and no voice acting. The game was went completely downhill after the first level which was amazing, and then just plain trash after level 3.wiifan001

no way....

First game my mom bought me along side M64, and it rocked! It might be considered garbage by some people now days, but back then... it was awesome.

You can't tell me fighting IG-88 and Boba Fett wasn't teh coolness!

PS- have you or anyone else played Bounty Hunter on GC? I thought that game was very underated. I got it at TJ Max for like 5 bucks lol

They're all great games, and I recommend picking up Trilogy. You can't beat the price for 3 great games all on one disc.

I would also play the games starting from the beginning. Although, you don't necessarily have to, but it's a great story line.

Also, don't go into Echoes thinking it's a bad game just because people say it is. It's just not the best in the series.

Nintendo isn't lazy, they're brilliant!

They could've added at the very minimum, 2 player online... but they damn well knew that a 2d Mario game would sell millions (or were willing to gamble it would) without the online modes.

That's not lazy, it's called.... "why add more content when we can get away with what we've been doing for 20 years+?"

As many of you have said in the past... "IT PRINTS MONEY!"

I somewhat agree....

Galaxy was hailed as an execellent game, but you ran around planets. It's the same thing as M64 (which was better by far, besides graphics). Mario needs a refresh like Zelda imo

(EDIT)

also, could you imagine an online Mario mode that allowed players to battle like SMB3 did? Obviously it would have to be different, but I think it would be awesome to have online in Mario.

Can you imagine "Find the mushroom" mode, and 20 people all at once are jumping on eachothers heads, Long-jumping, summersaulting, and fire balling their way to the mushroom.

Capture the flag would be another cool mode imo. Each team would have a flag that resembles the ones in the 2d stage end. Multiple different power-ups for everyone, and when you capture a flag, you have to jump on it and slide down.

Coin battles

Races (like Cosmic races)

dare I say... Team Deathmatch? Jumping on your opponents heads to eliminate them?

[QUOTE="SuperMarioNerd"]

[QUOTE="19061980"]

  1. Star Fox, like Sin & Punishment, is not an on-rails shooter, it's a shoot-em-up. If you have to dodge attacks it's a shoot-em-up. Look it up.
  2. The nunchuck thumbstick would have to control the movement as following the cursor would be too slow and inaccurate to dodge the barrage of attacks. They could do it for an easy mode for the casuals, but to play it properly with some semblance of a challenge, it would have to be thumbstick.

You think the Wii Remote IR is "slow and inaccurate"? I thought, based on the Wii Menu, Metroid Prime 3, and Mario Galaxy, that the pointer is not only accurate, but fast and precise. I still believe that the IR pointer is capable of 1:1 control with the Arwing.

Bzzz, wrong! Not what I said. Having the ship FOLLOW the pointer would be slow and inaccurate. I never said anything about the pointer being bad.

how would it be slow if they program the the ship to follow the pointer precisely?

It would be more than enough time avoid barrages of attacks, and probably allow them to add even more enemies on screen to try to attack you all at once. Think about it... The faster you move, they'd have to put more enemies on screen.

And how in the world is SF not a rail-shooter? It follows a predetermined path. The only difference that it strays away from traditional rail-shooters is the fact that you have the ability to move your ship. It's still on rails, just not your ordinary run of the mil

I was looking forward to this title... I'm just a little weary now.

Grandotaku

don't let me discourage you, there's always the rental store. At least try the game if you're interested lol

I was just shocked about it, and wanted to share

[QUOTE="bob_newman"] Ok you make a good point, but first of all that's the government's fault, not the people's. I'm sure you know that but it's worth mentioning.clicketyclick
Did you hear on the news? CNN just ran a story about how supply trucks carrying food and water and other relief came, but workers had a hard time distributing stuff because the Haitians stormed the trucks and started grabbing and stealing from one another. And then a (false) rumour was passed around that the food had spoiled so they started throwing it out or throwing it at the workers.

makes me think of District 9 and how the aliens acted.... but, MNU wasn't exactly fair either lol

I'm not sure of the US' history with Haiti (like Bob) mentioned, but when people act like that... that's a little ridiculous imo. We're offering help, and they riot, steal, and harrass the workers (that are sometimes not even with government). I guess I could understand if it was an "Iraq" situation, and we invaded/destroyed their country... but what does Haiti have to have to offer to do so besides scenary?

I'm going to read up on Haiti/US history before I start ranting
