http://www.siliconera.com/2010/01/21/wii-games-aimed-at-teens-and-up-get-black-boxes/

check out the new mature titled game cases, pretty nifty I'd say. Also, check out the box art for Dynamic Slash. Sexy indeed!

For a larger picture of the box art, go here; http://thewiire.com/blog/post/6191-first-wii-black-box-best-box-art-ever(if it doesn't show at the top of this post)

Do you think they'll bring this strategy over to NA/EU? I think they should

i mean the thing you have to remember about such a picture is that this is the FIRST and ONLY piece of artwork we've seen of the game. It could very well represent a female human/elf (whatever race they are) companion, and they just hadn't modeled her yet.

xSuperBlobx

very true,

but again... even if this particular character isn't/wasn't finished at the time of the reveal, why have an artist make her resemble the sword? To trick people?

Again, I still feel that she's some form of the MS, whether an actual body, or some spiritual form.

She looks more like that fairy from Wind Waker than the Master Sword.

she does some what.... but again... why would Nintendo have an artist create a girl that's similar in features (to the MS) and have Link holding no sword?

The big blue jewel, her criss-crossed leggings, etc.

the biggest thing that troubles me about this information is the fact that "steve" isn't the master sword.

Why in the world would Nintendo tell an artist to not give link a sword, and to create a girlish figure that very closely resembles the sword? She doesn't a 100%, but she does resemble the sword... anyone can see that.

I still honestly believe that she's some incarnation of the MS

Plus, I swear I remember reading somewhere that this was TP's Link. I guess the article didn't actually say it was a sequel to MM though.

I still think "steve" is the master sword or some form of it. Maybe it's spirit....

It makes me wonder though... maybe the sword you use isn't the MS, but the spirit (steve) guides you to find another sword that can match it's power with upgrades.

Some of this might be right, but I'm not very fond of them using "time travel" again..... They've used time way too much now imo.

I'm really hoping it goes back to it's roots and is similar to the original, but in 3d

I'm also excited to see what Retro's project is.... but I feel bad for them at the same time. They've done wonders for Metroid, and that has put a lot of weight on their shoulders imo. If they screw up whatever they're working on... people will judge them for it.

Taking in what we know about Retro thus far (and their history into account), they originally tried to go with different genres in the past. I've spoken with a person that worked for Retro (right before Prime was released) and have read numerous articles about they originally were working on;

  1. An action adventure game
  2. Vehicle game with weapons (Think Twisted Metal)
  3. A sports title (I believe it was a football game)

Taking that into consideration and what Miyamoto said about their vehicle game... I would assume they are probably going to dip into the adventure genre. I would really doubt they'd be working in the First Person perspective again. If I worked there, I'd like to stay away from it for a bit. I honestly don't know if Nintendo would give them another IP to work with, or just make them start fresh.

But who knows.... I'm probably way off.
