I play games to explore lives I can't, or actually wouldn't want to, experience in reality.

I'm already leery of giving Big Brother more view screens into my life.

All I have to say to MS approach to gaming is: REALITY TV.

Corporate dollars will flow to the area that produces the most dollars for the least investment. If games aren't the cash cow in their new electronic entertainment ecosystem then expect what you know as video gaming to be pimped out to chase the dollars of the masses.

I'm so glad I skipped it.

Would have loved having a new Simcity, but even without the DRM, I don't like the size of the Cities and the simulation seems to be smoke and mirrors from what I've seen. I'm calling a Spore on this one: manipulated away from its initial vision and bastardized to fit marketing/upper management ambitions and rushed out the door.

Prepare for the future of gaming if publishers and developers have their way.
