This use of first party franchises is precisely what makes Nintendo what it is. This is why I buy Nintendo consoles. You can say they're milking and rehashing all you'd like, but they're not. Every new first party title honors the franchise fundamentals while ultimately making the experience fresh and new. I have literally never been disappointed by a main Zelda or Mario entry, and probably never will be.
Just think about how boring Ps3 and 360 have been for years now. Their exclusive titles are dwindling, everything is third party now, and everybody is so hung up on playing non-stop competitive online multiplayer to even pay attention to anything else.
There have been EIGHT console Call of Duty titles this generation alone. There have only been SEVEN main series console Zelda entries ever.
@Chaos_Dante_456 I invest in Nintendo consoles for this very reason. I have never been disappointed with their first party franchises, and so long as they keep it fresh each time while honoring the fundamentals, which they're very good at doing.
@Ovirew I wouldn't say Zelda isn't inventive. Maintaining franchise fundamentals notwithstanding, Skyward Sword was plenty inventive and had the best motion controls I've ever experienced in any game ever.
@LukeWesty @chrisbingle RE6 was crap because it was actually crap and just wasn't Resident Evil anymore. So long as DMC retains it fundamentals (which is does), I really don't see the problem. But it's obvious that you're just a miserable troll.
