"Ok, being sicilian and fluent in the italian language and capable of insulting your mother and her mother in undignified sicilian slang, I must weight in on this one.
The letter z (zeta) in the italian language has two possible pronounciations
1. generally z is pronounced like "ts" as in "pits" ex; zucchero (TSOOK-keh-roh) which is sugar.
2. sometimes z is pronounced like "dz" as in "toads" ex;zingaro (DZEEN-gah-roh) which is gypsy
Allora, ( a beautiful transition word equivilent to "so" or "ummm" in english) now to the word in question, forza. Pronounced FORT'SA, with accent on the first syllable and as always if one can every so slightly roll the 'r' one will have the appropriate "italian" pronounciation. We don't want Dante rolling over in his grave now do we. I suggest practicing this word after several glasses of your favorite italian red and I am sure that you will master its pronounciation."
