@xenomorphalien: I could be wrong but I think for launch Sony has Demon's Souls , Spider Man , and GT7. If all 3 of those titles are available then that's enough to please me. They have the platforming base covered with a new Ratchet & Clank , then for 3rd party they have the usual Madden sports games and Ubisoft will have Assassin's Creed Valhalla at launch , and the biggest game Black Ops: Cold War will be available and will probably be far better than Ghosts was last gen. Overall It's a slightly better launch than PS4 imo which was okay but not great. Sony has never had great starts.

@Barighm: I'll take Super Mario 64 over Halo as the single best launch killer app. Best launches of all time imo are the original NES and DC. Bloodborne wasn't a launch title.

At this point Apple Is untouchable , I doubt Epic wins. I remember when everyone passed over most Apple products In stores and you could barely give them away before ipod and iphone , they were seen as old and uncool. I don't think any tech company will ever catch that big of a wave again.

Just give me a masterpiece Dune movie. That's the only film I wanted to see this year.

I'm making sure I upgrade my PC first this time and getting a 3080 or 3090 to go with my PS5 which Is halfway paid for. I'll primarily be a PC gamer this gen , but I love PS5 exclusives and Japanese Imports. All I need Is a 3rd party PS5 compatible controller with the Xbox style analog placement for online FPS games , cuz I don't like Sony's standard layout.

@warmblur: That's a huge red flag for me as well , and what I felt was a weakness In the sequels was bad casting that felt off.

It would be extremely hard / near Impossible to make a great Matrix movie on the level of the original In 2020. These special effects no longer "woah" anyone , and everyone acts woke. Maybe If they managed to do what Christopher Nolan did for the Batman films , which before him had become a joke In the mid-late 90's , If they can do a Batman Begins type of reinvention maybe It could work , but I doubt It. The sequels didn't need to be made either , they had their moment of brilliant Ideas and scenes but overall weren't nearly as good. The Matrix succeeded as an Iconic one shot 1999 era thing. It's depressing to artistically feel everything has been done and better , and most peaks have been reached.

@GalvatronType_R: I really don't think a Series S will matter as much as people think It should just because of a potentially lower price. Games on It would still look like a current gen 7yold console and that's not what most people want , despite a being $100/$150+ cheaper than the digital version of PS5. Seems like It's basically just replacing the Xbox One X , and that's not worth dragging down 9th gen multiplat games or first party Xbox games across the board.
