Still talking about king of comic graphics ?

With Raytracing even a single person can produce offline cgi visuals in realtime.

Raytracing will be a big thing on PC as you can see with this early UE4 implementation.

7nm GPUs will unlock realtime path tracing. This means default photoreal graphics for small dev teams . Will happen in 2-3 years only on PC.

Btw Kingdome Come and Forza horizon 4 have the most advanced (dynamic) lightings systems right now.

Graphics will always be defined by consoles, PCs just follow console's lead.

Graphics of multiplatform games will always be held back by the weaker consoles, PC's run at 60+ and don't have to gimp draw distance, assets and use sprites for trees in Battlefield 1

Console only gaming is misery

Console gaming is what keeps the AAA industry alive. If not for console gaming sales, you'd not have the amazing AAA you play, be glad to consoles. And even indies now are selling more thanks to consoles.

You should be grateful to console for making this industry thrive.

Thx we get all those shit AAA games with increasing numbers as innovations.

Thruth is something like World of Tanks is way way way more played and profitable than any console game.

Next gen consoles better get some raytracing hardware too. If AMD just throws more flops out the fucking consoles will hold back visuals for sure this time.

@blamix:

True but the so called playtime in todays games is often artificially bloated with nonsense like overlong cutscenes or boring sidequest. Only Bloodborne is avoiding this for sure.

"Is Sony king of the third person, single player action/adventure game?"

This is the only shit that sony produces over and over again and call it a generation.

Playstation soyboys get a few 3rd person mainstream as **** games per year. Play each for 6-8h and spend the rest of the year in forums to spread the word like the brainwashed cultists they are.
