Terrific article and I mostly agree (except for Tomb Raider lol). Some of the games shown yesterday were diabolical. Even established IPs had been torn away from their roots to look more like COD. Really worrying signs for this industry. I think the COD fad will dry up this year - it already started last year - so watch out developers!
lol its like they're playing up to the Michael Bay comparisons people make about these games now: "Get the President out of here!" Its just so dumb lol. The game itself looks pretty dull and not very substantial, despite the new gimmicks.
The rest of the demo doesn't look like Splinter Cell at all - there's no thought about who to kill, where to move bodies, its just a straight up action game, with really dumb AI. The guy walks up slowly when Fisher is behind the sandbags lol. This is all on top of the xenophobia.
