@ketsuhige: To me, I think it's a lot about how romanticized it is compared to other scifi stories. It's grounded in this sort of ancient/low tech science fiction. It's more about characters than it is about science.

Battlefront continues these themes. You're not super high tech soldiers battling each other with all sorts of complex weapons and gadgets, you're just fighting with relatively basic rifles, wearing very simple armor.

To me, this is what makes the world and this game special. I think it's completely different from Star Trek which appeals much more to science and philosophy.

Does an embargo really mean anything? I mean dies the fact a reviewer has had the game for x days before being allowed to speak matter to the reader? If instead of x days ago, they got it x+10 days ago and we're embargoed until x, wouldn't that be identical to the reader except for the fact they thought about their review for 10 more days than they otherwise would have.

If someone gives you a gift 10 days before your birthday and they say not to open it until it is your birthday, is that different from them giving you your present *on* your birthday and saying open it whenever you want?

It just all seems irrelevant so long as you're allowed to share the review prior to your release. What do I care whether you were forced to spend 7 more days thinking about the game before telling me about it? They determine date x when you get it and date y when you talk about it. If x were changed to y, you'd still be reviewing it at date y, but not be held to an embargo. Silly distinction, no?

How can you guys possibly be complaining? They aren't removing the games!

You must have absolutely no understanding of Starcraft or WC3 to be complaining about this.

This is incredible news if you have the slightest appreciation of these games. As for the complaints of greed, you realize Blizzard provided 15 years of free patching to Starcraft right? They clearly appreciate their old games and fans.
