I played the first D:OS game until after solving the murder, but for some reason or another I moved on to other things. Is D:OS worth playing or should I skip it and go directly to the sequel (given that stories are mostly independent) ? I'm a huge fan of Infinity Engine games (Baldur's Gate 1-2, Torment, Icewind Dale, Pillars of Eternity, etc.) and cRPGs.

@Herrick I hope they fix the combat, there was room for improvement in The Witcher 2. (still a great game)

@ohqb15 Wow, you're either a bot trying to emulate a MicroSoft employee, a MicroSoft employee or someone with poor decision making skills coupled with poor writing capacities. Good luck and sorry if my comment is a bit harsh..

Ciao XBox, I guess the 360 was the last Microsoft console I bought.

If the PS4 also follows this trend, then I'll stick to PC.

Here are some facts.

1. XBOX will require you to be frequently to be online.

2. Does the PlayStation 4 always need to be connected to the internet, I asked?

@TacoTuesdays @varmintx @JumpyLuweegee We know it doesn`t require you to be online at all... this is enough to make a lot of people jump the XBOX ship and board the PS4...

@tevic Should be... for at most 24 hours... assuming you`re not installing a new game, because then you`d need to be online... great

@meatz666 @TacoTuesdays@meatz666@atn98As far as I know, PS4 doesn`t require you to be online at all. This has been confirmed by many news outlets and Sony officials. This alone makes me want to buy the PS4 for simple practical reasons.

Moreover, I doubt that Sony will go the used sales games tax route if they want a competitive edge...

@meatz666 @atn98 Everybody know you don`t owe your friend a favor, but Microsoft as well... that`s how the world should work... great plan by MS.

What I read elsewhere was that:

1. you need to be online for the game installation (probably for a license key check);

2. you need to connect online at least once every 24 hours (probably for an automatized authentification).

So basically if you move, if your internet connection is down, then you are screwed...

These two aspects + "used games tax" make me want to buy a PS4...
