None of your pc's have 8GB? Not much variety at your store then. 6-8GB Ram is the norm for PC's IMO.
Your comment seems prove Damascuss's main point that PC's are held back by consoles. The original Crysis is over 5 years old and the sequels haven't improved much at all. Metro 2033 is 3 years old and only stresses mid range pc's because it's not optimized well, BF3 is the only fairly recent game (still almost 1.5yrs old) but even that doesn't stress high end pc's. Pc's have long been capable of much much more but game developers make games for consoles first then PC as an afterthought.
My ps3 doesn't get used that much as I tend to play my high end pc. Looking forward to ps4, not only is it great for the console world but also for PC especially as it uses PC architecture. The sudden leap in quality of gfx and playablility that comes with a new console generation will find thier way to pc even easier.
Dunno what all the fuss is about with cloud gaming. I can play top end pc games on my android phone right now via onlive but its not worth doing because of the input lag, any game that requies fast reactions is unplayable.
The internet world wide needs to improve vastly and I cant see ping times becoming <10ms anytime soon
Even tho my current pc is more powerful I will probably still end up getting a ps4. That is unless the Fight Night series and Gran-Turismo become available on PC. Oh and if Rockstar can promise GTA6 will come to PC at the same time as console, yeah if those 3 factors come true I wont be needing a new console.
@FreeTheEnslaved FYI I sit in a comfy chair playing pc games on my tv :)
And i still wont be able to play anywhere I want, may even be restricted to local wifi network. If not it'll have to use a mobile signal such as 3G which is very prone to lag.
If im going to do that I may as well get the cloud gaming app "onlive" on my phone which allows me to stream play high end pc games right now and I dont even need a PC for it to work let alone a high end one.
needs to cost less than a vita to stand a chance. Personally i'm really not that bothered about the streaming. If i've got a high end pc (needed for streaming) why would I want to play its games on a tiny screen instead of my 42" plasma?
