Im not a fan of 3rd party controllers. I did like the logitech wireless ps2 controller but even then after a while the x button would stick. My friend had the same controller and the same issue. It was a design flaw.

I just bought the white DS3 controller from Play Asia today. The american version is only 5 bucks less though. I figure I wanted one i could distinguish from my other sixaxis controllers easily and paying 5 bucks more isnt that bad. They also have a silver DS3 for the same price - $59.99.

BTW Metal Gear Solid 4 and Metal Gear Online are two SEPARATE games that you have to purchase separately. Only the Beta for Metal Gear Online comes with preordering MGS4, you wont get the full game unless you buy it separately.

in order to get an order code you need to preorder the game from gamestop, game crazy or their online sites. You will get a dvd that has a recap of the MGS storyline and on that dvd it will also have a beta code which u use to download the beta off the Playstation store.

I preordered the Limited Edition version of the game at my Gamestop a few weeks ago and they said the Bonus DVD with the Beta code shipped. It will be arriving this thursday or friday. I live in southeast Pennsylvania btw. I think they are shipping all over country too though.

I picked the last option, sony screwed us out of their promise of hardware bc and even worse there are no 80gbs. Who knows how long that MGS4 bundle will be out for (if it even does have BC) and if they will continue to make 80gbs afterwards. If they do continue the 80gb it is pathetic people have to wait months for it to be re-released in June.

For all the smug people with 60gbs and say you should have bought it right away, just wait til yours breaks down and cannot be replaced. Btw, I do have a 60gb.

Needles-Kane

It has been confirmed on sonys us blog that the MGS4 bundle WILL be the 80gb WITH the same PS2 BC as the Motorstorm bundle 80gb unit. Also it will have the dual shock controller. I advise buying that one in june, preorder it if you can it will sell well.

I'll buy a CE depending on what comes with it. I usually prefer "making of" DVDs to action figures and useless chochkes like that. Some CE versions that I was happy with: Oblivion for 360, Halo 3 CE (NOT Limited edition with dumb helmet), Mass Effect Limited Edition. Also looking forward to the Metal Gear Solid 4 limited edition stuff - "making of" videos in hi def on blu ray, access to online beta, and a disc recapping the story of the entire Metal Gear saga. No useless chochkes.

Here are some poorer versions that I wasnt happy with: Bioshock (the Big Daddy figure is cool looking but useless, the soundtrack disc was garbage - does anyone listen to Moby anymore?, and the "making of" video was so poorly produced it seemed like one of the game makers said "Hey, i can edit video and do the making of video" and they just let him do it on his own time), Grand Theft Auto 4 (sorry not interested in a useless lock box and duffle bag especially for $90).

As far as DLC goes, I am very hesitant to buy any on Xbox Live because of its broken DRM system. But for PS3 and Wii, if the content seems like its worth the price i'll buy it. Good Examples: Warhawk Expansions and updates, Oblivion main expansions like Knights of the Nine etc (not the horse pack thing). Bad Examples: Guitar Hero 2 for 360 - forced you to buy songs in packs of 3, Microsofts Digital Rights management system in general - its BROKEN!

Yes, thats correct. The 40gb will only play Playstation 1 games not PS2 games. The 80gb Motorstorm bundle and forthcoming Metal Gear 4 bundle WILL be able to play PS2 games though (around 80-85% PS2 compatibility). I recommend saving and waiting for the Metal Gear 4 bundle because it will ALSO have the new Dual Shock 3 controller.

if you want a more realistic simulation racing game try Gran Turismo Prologue, Dirt or F1.

If you want a more arcade like racing experience try Motorstorm or Burnout Paradise.

All of those have online play.

Love warhawk havent played COD4 yet. Warhawk is definately more vehicle focused though, which is why I love it. Whenever I play Halo or another FPS I love being able to cause havoc in a vehicle and Warhawk does it better than any other shooter I've played. While COD4 is pretty much universally critically acclaimed, I dont think I would enjoy it at much because of its strictly infantry focus. Plus there is a serious glut of FPSs in the market since last fall, so I have little desire to pick up another one anytime soon.
