He certainly is under a lot of pressure, so I can understand him. Writing isn't easy and with so many fans out there expectations are very high. I rather wait for him to properly complete the series taking his time... just hope he finishes before he dies.
This is bull. Probably saw that somebody saved a lot of bottlecaps and bethesda gave him a free game and this guy decided he would try Bethesda's benevolence in this situation. On a serious note, if his story is real, then I feel sorry for him, but Bethesda has nothing to do with that.
@Azazel29: Yeah, square-enix right now doesn't know how to dabble with mechanics that are not flashy combat. Original FFVII have a lot of different mechanics. I honestly don't trust they will bother with these things and will focus on fleshing out current locations and making emo-cutscenes. So I better assume it is not gonna happen before I get really disappointed.
@MXVIII: But not everybody is willing to wait 10 years to get the full experience. I got Wings of Liberty. Was great. But when they released Heart of the Swarm I had already lost interest. Will try eventually, just not hyped anymore.
Imo the worst mistake he made was remaking the first trilogy, that turned "Return of the jedi" into a complete joke (I had to stop watching that one during jabbah's castle). The Phantom menace was a children's movie so I cannot really comment on that.
In any case I respect his work. He was honest to himself and made the movies he actually wanted to do. Talking about "making a movie for the fans" in Disney's words I think it is pretty arrogant.
