Exactly, Allmybase. This is a move to cater to a market and earn some money. And if anyone knows EA, that's what they're all about. Though hopefully Madden 09 will be English and Spanish on the same disc.

Minos - Though it's changing with the influx of Spanish-speakers, for the most part Americans don't NEED another language unless they're doing business internationally. Europe, you can walk to a country that speaks another language, not so for the US unless you're near the Mexican or Canadian borders. wanker - Many young Spanish-American people (Mexican, Cuban, whatever) still watch Spanish programs, even if they were born here, even if they watch English stuff as well. While I still don't understand the need for a separate version (this isn't an RPG, you could put the Spanish stuff on the same disc), this is otherwise a good move on EA's part.

The difference, PSOCECIL, is that there are HUGE populations of Spanish people in the US. Hell, down in Miami, FIFA and Winning Eleven sell out as fast as Madden because of the strong Spanish-American population. I imagine the same is true in Texas, California, and other places with lots of Spanish people. That being said, this is an obsolete move on the 360 and ESPECIALLY on the PS3. The discs can hold more than one language now, unless it's an RPG.

I understand the PS2, but why the 360? Couldn't they just put the Spanish dialogue on the disc like Gears of War, Bioshock, GRAW, Tomb Raider Legend, Rainbow Six Vegas, Perfect Dark Zero, etc etc etc? The only reason for a separate version - and all the risk that entails for something that's a niche outside native born US citizens - would be to market a specific NFL Lation/ESPN Deportes brand, and that just seems stupid.

Looks like a very marginal upgrade. I thought it'd be more.

The sick part is that everyone here KNOWS the US and Japanese PS3s won't have the EE removed from them until the software emulation is 100%. I can't believe how much Sony goes out of its way to make it look like they don't give a damn about Europe.

Nele, it's something more than that. Viva Pinata isn't so much a game as it is an attempt to get kids to soak their parents for a bunch of meaningless crap. It's like the stupid little toys in the cereal box. Toy ain't worth $0.50, but the parent spends $5.00 on the cereal just to shut the stupid brat up. This is exploitative and ignoble on Microsoft's part.

It's amazing how many people don't understand the concept of a beta. The games will work when the system hits retail, or by Service Pack 1 at the worst.
