what is going on here...when a black phantom appears i can't hit him but i hear that sound when you hit someone and plus hes standing right in front of me than seconds later he just disappear into thin air like nothing happen!!!! BUT I GOT DAMAGE AND HE DIDN'T WTF MAN!!!!SOMEONE PLZ TELL!!!WHAT IS GOING ON HERE and tell me a good weapon for killing black phantoms ^_^ Marasama

If a black phantom is disappearing and re-appearing it may not be due to lag. I had a black phantom kill me by invading with a thief's ring, running to the end of the level, then waiting. Since he wasn't attacking I could not see him until it was too late.

As for a good weapon, I would suggest the scraping spear. It breaks armor so even if they kill you, they'll have to repair all their armor at a high cost. Plus, you can break all their defenses then switch to another weapon to finish the job. Several black phantoms have used this tactic on me.

You can get a scraping spear easily by upgrading any spear to +7, then upgrading that spear to the scraping spear. You must give the Red Hot Demon's Soul to Blacksmith Ed first. Like all named special weapons you can only upgrade it with a colorless demon's soul.

Yes, your 500GB HDD will work fine. You only need to have enough space free for the backup. Drive size does not matter, however it must be FAT32. If your HDD is not recognized, this may be the problem.

Pros:

Great gameplay mechanic. Doesn't feel clunky in the least, very responsive. I think this is the best part of the game.

Fairly non-linear levels so you can skip around and vary your challenge as you see fit.

Variety of starting classes. I've only seen more in D&D style games. However, you aren't locked into that class and can put experience where you want to change your character as you like.

Voice acting is quite good.

Cons:

Punishing difficulty can turn off some players. It is tough, but fair.

Autosave function means if you die in the middle of a level, you have to start back at the beginning of that level, even if you are at a boss (larger levels will have short cuts to get nearer to a boss, however).

As per above, if you die you lose all "souls" you have in your posession. You CAN get them back if you return to the point where you died, and don't exit out of the game or pick up another pile of souls from another death.

Running your PS3 into your computer to view on your computer screen via component video is going to be your best bet. Trying to plug it in via HDMI or DVI will require an additional capture card, and that that point you're better off buying a second monitor instead. Obviously you'll want to make sure that your capture card can take component INPUT properly. Not Component output, not composite in/out.

catfishmoon23

Is he trying to just play his PS3 on his monitor, or is he wanting to capture videos of playing his PS3?

If it's the first option, he'd be better off with an HDMI/DVI cable and running the regular A/V cables to his speakers. Before you buy the cable though, make sure your monitor is HDCP compliant. Not all monitors with DVI are.

If it's the latter option, your advice would be the best.

Agreed. HDMI/DVI capture on a PC is still quite pricey.

Asking why someone else likes something you don't has to be the dumbest question ever. Variety is the spice of life. I bet a hate something you do, but who cares? What a waste of a thread.

[QUOTE="TheAquired"]I went on this website http://www.lge.com/products/model/detail/l192ws.jhtml and if you go to specifications it says: Input Signal: Video Signal: RGB Analog, Digital Sync type: Separate, Composite, SOG It says digital so it should work right?

Based on those specs, no. You need something that mentions HDCP compatibility. The monitor you are looking at only has VGA in, not DVI or HDMI. You'll have to spend some more money.

Because going from 720p to 1080i is too different and too few people own 1080i only TV's for Sony to care.

Gaming now pulls in more revenue than movies, an industry that has been around nearly 100 years. Gaming has experienced only positive growth every year with almost no exceptions since the late 1970s. Not a fad, thread over.
