I wouldn't agree about having a TPS alien game though. Personally I'd stick with the FPPerspective, it creates a tension not otherwise achievable imo. If there were some proper lean mechanics and such on an almost horror movie level it'd add to it too.
The actual storyline however is extremely important. We should be on another ship like the first film, have a very tight knit crew we get to know, and finally, have an A.I director like L4D that changes the game around every time we play it.
You could even change the sequence of deaths of your crew ( or your ability to save them ) if it were designed and programmed well enough.
Ubisoft are one of the worst developers when it comes to gamers.
Consistently they dumb down games for mass market appeal, churn out annual sequels that do little to add anything to the formulas and literally never listen to any feed back they get from gamers.
Examples of this would be Far Cry 3s multiplayer options and releasing it unfinished.
Dumbing down AC3 and releasing it unfinished.
Completely destroying practically every Tom Clancy game they have, future soldier for instance was a complete shambles and it was unfinished.
If the new Splinter Cell is terrible I seriously won't be buying another game of theirs. Watchdogs and Beyond good and Evil are literally the only redeemable IPs they have, and only one of those is actually getting input.
You should perhaps get a vague rota going. Start the week with strategy, move into shooters, something random for the Wednesday like a beat em up or any genre, move onto driving and finish with some multiplayer sports games for the weekend.
I'll be waiting for some actual gameplay footage. From the tiny glimpse we saw of first person it seems pretty standard. I guess it truly depends on the size of the games.

Look at the GAMEPLAY you posers. This is the same ADS shooter we've been playing for the past six years. Like I'm going to pay out half a grand for this. Lol.
