@xikaryo: Gamepass would get you 6 months to equal the price of the game. Being people usually sub longer than that, because they don't want to lose acces to the game, plus all the other 1st party games that are on GP indefinitely, MS will make more than the cost of a single game.
Not to mention that 3rd party devs make money every time a game is downloaded, as opposed to people not buying the game in the 1st place. I wouldn't have bought High on Life, but downloaded it and it's an excellent game.
I didn't read the article yet, but this series was terrible! Very few episodes, and they're all boring and pieced together. There's no cohesiveness at all. One episode has this, next episode jumps way over here, ect... It's almost like they just made a show of the cutscenes and neglected everything else that went in in the game. Very disappointing. This show could've been so much better than it was.
Not saying there's anything wrong with it, but they wasted 2 of those few episodes of gay love stories instead if focusing on the action. Maybe if they had more episodes to work with, but to waste 2 of them on love stories takes away from the whole narrative.
And being S1 was terrible, I can only imagine how bad S2 will be with 7 episodes between 2 characters. The game was bad enough, but making a show of it will be a disaster.
I think we're at a point where we don't really need mid-gen updates anymore. I don't even think we'd need new consoles for a very long time, unless televisions made some tremendous leap in display technology (and I don't mean 8K). Something along the lines that 4K HDR did and HDMI 2.1.
They should make gaming OS's built into TV's, with storage, so you don't need a box anymore.
@Tiwill44: Sony has already went through 3 hardware revisions on the PS5. None have done anything worthwhile. But they're probably trying to make it cheaper. The 2nd revision made it run hotter and didn't last too long.
@hardwenzen: It added 4K HDR, better loading times, and got rid the the original PS4's bottleneck with the CPU.
A PS5 Pro doesn't have television improvements to make a better picture unless they make 8K, which is completely unnecessary. They have a hard enough time getting games out now.
@Barighm: Ehhh.... You just swap the white panels out for black ones. Doesn't stick out as much. But the person that designed the shape should be fired. I don't know why Sony tries to always make a futuristic looking console. They just look like a toy in an entertainment center.
