@butterworth:

I don't agree since the game's characters (friends, icons) justify the "five ways to play" so I think the story really matters.

But anyway, good you liked the game that much in spite of the narrative "nonsense" :)

@butterworth: "I still had no idea what the story was about"? --Apparently you didn't notice that there are five different ways to drive/tune your car related to the five "iconic" characters that determine the storyline: Style, Build, Speed, Crew, Outlaw...

Technically your review is ok, though, the score may be a bit too high, but never mind.

Just technical aspects, no mention at all of the storyline and the five "icons" representing a different driving style each. Should have mattered more in the review, Imo.

Interesting; I started playing Zestiria already last week (thanks to an earlier EU release date) and am surprised how it could score 6 points only. Certainly, graphics are not "next-gen" on PS4 but the combat system plays well and so far I really like both characters and story, so rather close to 8 for me. Personally I value the Tales games also as a J-alternative to the Final Fantasy series being pretty monopolistic in the West (while Phantasy Star more or less disappeared).

@GameSpot [Rose] "chooses to be kill so that Sorey can remain a pure, good-hearted Shepherd"?

Using the PS4 / XB1 in-built party system is perfect, no need for an own in-game chat system, Imho.

Btw, I didn't even notice Origin had voice chat, not bad.

Like it or not, Destiny was a hyped game, too much for some who disliked it for the very same reason, often even without having been playing it. And Destiny is no RPG.

Some reviewers seemed to be catering exactly to this sort of opinion, and I'm entitled to have mine on the matter. And yes, I'm a heavy grinder, satisfied?

Good list: Vanishing of Ethan Carter is a real jewel, and Wolf Among Us truly original, except that I agree with it being rather an interactive comic (plus some somewhat annoying QTEs).

Dragon Age Inquisition is this year's RPG for me (not that I played many).

I don't share Kevin's opinion on Destiny, though; to me this caters above all to the anti-hype hipsters, which confessedly I'm not.

I love it how GS caters once more to its fanboy majority: more anti-hype hipsterism, please!

Personally, less than ever. I have a PS4 and a Wii U, in addition to a gaming PC, so no need for a XB1 to arbitrarily listen to my voice commands whatsoever...
