Replaying is fine when you feel like revisiting a game you loved in particular. Same happens with books or movies.

@Coco_pierrot: Thanks for reading! "I think this game raise the question of what makes us human in the first place." Well, I pointed this out. My choice btw whether to spoil the plot or not, reflecting about it is all that makes the game interesting.

As to Catherine they could have added some point where Simon would chose whether to continue at all, but then the storyline doesn't build on player choices anyway (which is obviously the developers' choice).

Interesting read, thanks for sharing this! My own experiences are very much like those described by @tom_cat_01 and Destiny was my drug for quite some time, at a point where you start caring more about Strange Coins and stuff than your own money... Destiny has a dynamism that really draws you into and which is difficult to resist once starting to play; but I also observed that the less I play the game the less I feel like it, and vice versa, so in the end I really stopped playing it for half a year and won't be getting the Rise of Iron expansion now, either.

On the other hand I'd say that my personal "addiction" to video games is quite voluntary, and I certainly prefer playing a good game to social networking or watching tv...

Another addiction I'd like to add it that of *buying* games without even playing them, so I think playing the same game day for day during months or even years can be less costly an advantage here.

I'd certainly love seeing a new installment of the Killzone series, as more as I'm rather uninterested in Horizon: Zero Dawn. Nor do I agree that Shadow Fall was "conclusive" whereas one might well imagine the Helghast reclaiming their (inhabitable) planet again.

@BravoOneActual: Luke being gay would make the Star Wars movies cooler? Not a good point, Imo.

Congrats on the new Platinums! However, it seems a good idea getting a gaming PC and Wii U parallel to the PlayStation systems :) Xenoblade Chronicles X is certainly a great game to play on the Wii U (and my GOTY), besides the Zelda Windwaker HD, Bayonetta 2, Splatoon, Super Smash Bros, and of course, Mario Kart 8 (and if you want, Shovel Knight and Zombi U). There are also a couple of interesting games coming out this year, such as Starfox, the new Zelda game, and Shin Megami Tensei X Fire Emblem.

@CTR360: Yeah, everybody seems to like the Witcher but I don't so it's not on my list. Bloodborne would probably have merited to be there but I played too few of it to enthuse about, whereas NFS honestly I didn't find that bad.

Speaking of favorite moments it is Until Dawn which springs to mind, with more than one entry since there were many mind-bending scenes. But regardless of individual player choices, the game in its entirety is utterly memorizable to me.

@sladakrobot: Yes, only digital download via PS Store, but absolutely worth playing. And they even sold it for less than ten bucks during the last summer sales...
