This is absolutely pathetic. Between that one try-hard trailer and this attempt to piggy-back on part of Deadpool's successful model, it seems like WB has no faith in what will probably be the next X-Men: The Last Stand. I have never seen this much desperation surrounding a project of this magnitude.
The online is surprisingly fun, but nobody plays it. The largest number of players I saw online was about 12-14. Only the battle royal mode is consistently playable because of this. The campaign is short and PS2 era in nature. A free PC multiplayer release is on its way, so save your money. I got 40 hours from the online on Wii U then got my money back.
I think the art style hurt the original the most. I remember working at an EB Games when it came out and everyone seemed turned off by its appearance in spite of the reviews or kind words.
I hope MS goes full-force with its backwards compatibility so Sony looks like even bigger assholes in the eyes of the general public. It's the only way any big company learns. The Sega Channel concept they're going for won't work when the Wii U and the Xbox One are offering a similar thing free of charge (albeit in different capacities right now).
Sony doesn't seem to know what it has. It marched Until Dawn out to die and people liked it. The Order was marketed like crazy and a complete joke at a "design choices" level.
