At this point, the only thing I care about is it still having offline functionality for the standard MP with bots. Beyond that, the rest is fine with me. I don't care about the campaigns. I've finished two across the entire series (CoD2 because the online was so busted at launch and IW because I hated the online).
The way they're very carefully wording things indicates that it's clearly going to be "always online" even by yourself. They played this game with Garden Warfare 2 as well. They know some people are bound to be annoyed, hence the careful phrasing. The best way to not piss anyone off would be to let them use it offline or online. I know some jerk is going to be all "well it's not for you then" or "get over it", but I just can't tolerate buying a game with an expiry date (when the servers shut down) when that approach is unnecessary. I accept it when there's no way around it, but forcing it upon things that don't need it sucks. Remember the SimCity (2013) launch and the Xbox One reveal?
Well, they could have been worse, but those choices are boring... They'd need Super or GT fighters for me to care enough to invest any more in this. Nonetheless, I'm happy for the people who love the two characters.
I've heard nothing but bad things about him in terms of personality and how he is outside the ring. This isn't overly shocking. The problem with all of these allegations of late is that they are being treated as "guilty until proven innocent" almost entirely.
"Always on" and forcing people to pay an extra $100 for this stupid add-on basically killed the Xbox brand, at least for this generation. I don't understand how they didn't see those things as hurdles... Nobody was happy.
Make the game free ASAP, and give anyone who bought it a free set of exclusive skins or something. There aren't even enough players left to fill a room most of the time, from what I can tell... Aliens: Colonial Marines probably had more people online around launch...
