It's constantly talked about.....even battlefield 2142 is mentioned quite a few times. A lot of people play it, however, most people are more focused on recent releases that they dont mention battlefield 2 anymore.
It seems some companies will take away fun to bring in more realism. I don't play video games that feel like a chore, I play video games to get away from all that. To me a good game is an original idea that can be made to be extremely fun, doesn't have to be the most realistic physics or next gen graphics, just an intuitive idea. Portal is a good example.
