[QUOTE="Hoi-Yant"]I think that just that fact that you're comparing a 10 yrs old game to CoH shows how well SC stood the test of time and how great of a game it still is. My vote goes to SC, the grandaddy of awsomeness in RTS games (no, not WarCraft II).gogators4life

Call of Duty 4 will give you the most replayability in my opinion. The single player is pretty cool as it is, however the multiplayer is where the game truly shines. There is always something to work towards and it has a fair amount of depth compared to most other shooters. Crysis definitely has graphics but the demo didn't do anything for me but it varies from person to person. World in Conflict is fun at first but kinda gets repetitive. I'd get Call of Duty 4.

No.. they hold that factor very highly when they talk about how immersive the game is.

I play TDM all the time and there are always servers ready to play on. I never have trouble getting into a game in under 5 minutes.

EverQuest 1.

It really turned online games into what they are today and took the classic overhead 2D view and turned the fantasy worlds entirely 3D. Maybe it was because it was the first MMO i ever played or maybe it was the game itself but that game captivated me and truly made me want to see every inch of the world.

On top of that it had a great community. The people who tended to play it were older in age and a lot of them enjoyed just being there and lending a hand without ever having to get anything in return.

MMO's today are full of kids who want to grow their Epeens and be teh uber!111oneone. With an environment like that I can't help but lose any sort of immersion a game like WoW could have created for me. That's why EQ1 will always be remembered as the best MMO in my opinion.

Played EverQuest for 2 years and then played EQ2....EverQuest 2 is a major disappointment. Fun for a while but the raids and instances overall are relatively dry compared to other MMOs today. The SOE devs are out to make as much money as they can as easily as possible and it shows in gameplay.

Wow you've got some catching up to do...

Call of Duty 4 definitely, The Orange Box, F.E.A.R., as the above poster said MAFIA(it won't have the graphics that the others will have but it's one of the greatest games on PC imo), pick up Battlefield 2 as well if ya get bored with the others its only 10 bucks now without the set.
