Bad A** laptop but prolly really expensive. The one I just bought (in my specs) has HD and 3D and I paid 1200 for it. Theres better deals out there than alianware computers which makes my surprised a company like that is still in buisness

Laptops are becoming very powerfull very fast this past year at affordable prices. I sold my gameing desktop and picked up one of these for 1200 USDand it literally replaced my desktop which is great because im on the go alot nowa days. I was doing my research on it but didnt find many reviews. So im just curious on what the pros of gamestop have to say about it or if anyone has one the same or simular. Thoughts or comments? and btw iv been out of the loop for a couple months almost a year.

4870 dipping below 30 fps? Either you're playing a really high resolution or it's Crysis. If it's the latter, I wouldn't bother upgrading just for one game. If not, I'd recommend a 5850 at LEAST.

i like high resolutions thats why, i always max everything out except for cyrsis. My 512mb 4870 needs more memory for the higher resolution. and 1 gig is now the new standard.

[QUOTE="psychobrew"]I'd go for two 5750s in xfire over one 5830.MaoTheChimp

Not possible on his board, not to mention that the OP wouldn't be saving much by doing so.

nice to know u paid attention to my specs. cant dual up cards. so i need a good solo performer. since nvidia isnt that great ill get the 5850. i pretty sure the cpu and psu can handle it...

I'm thinking about upgrading my graphics card next month. it plays newer games just fine but at times of intense action the performence seams to dip below 30 fps. just like the 9800gt the 4870 512mb is starting to show its age but still has life in it. Now i'v looked at a few cards but dont have time to compare them much so i need some help. For nvidia im looking at the 465. ATI im looking at either a 5830 or a 5850. i know the 5850 is better than both but idk if i'll have enough money. which one is recomended?

also if theres a better bag for your buck nvidia card id like to know more about it

I built my rig off of cyberpower.com and couldnt be happier :)

Except for your video card will more than likely bottle neck your rig. Upgrade that video card man!

yes it could use an upgrade but right now that card can still play n e thing so its still good for now. specially when crysis 2 isnt comeing out for PC n e more...prolly old news but im still disapointed

My advice would be to get a cheaper CPU and a much better GPU. The HD 5770 is a mainstream/budget GPU and is lacking considerable performance in comparison to the CPU you selected. I would at least go for a HD 5850, if not a HD 5870 with the rig you have selected.

I think the best bang for you buck thats out there right now is the 5830. hell if i had the money right now i think i would go for one
