I would go for a 5770. performence is alittle lower than the 4890 but not gonna make much of adifference of todays games.

the games list is larger but its far from huge the core 2 duo/athalon 64 x2's are turning out to be quite powerful and long lasting. but its recommended you go quad core simply because the power in one is significantly more. you want the "full" quad core game slist here you go:

metro 2033

stalker call of pirpiryat

battlefield: bad company 2 (isnt even all that necissary as a core 2 duo can play it on high details)

shattered horizons

gta 4

arma 2 benefits significantly from one but again isnt necissary

operation flashpoint 2: dragon rising

bioshock 2 (again not completely necissary)

thats about it.

yea prolly just stick with what i have now. i can ply crysis on high. i dunno what new game comes close to crysis. i think COD MW2 might come close

Dunno. The cheapest that will still run respectively fast and not overheat. Don't need any gravy.

to avoid hi heat go with intel prossesors and since your not gameing then ones with a intel x4500 chipset . and you can go with ddr2 or ddr3 ram. you can get some decent laptops with these specifications with windows 7 for about 500-700 dollers. Bestbuy has plenty of good deals

go into your network shareing center. then go into "set up a new connection or network". then you should see an option about seting up a tempary hoc network

if you havent already, go into your graphics driver or game video options and completly turn off your AA and motion blur. also turn ur shadows down to low and run the game in DX9 and you should notice a jump in performance.

You will notice a decent performence boost if yoo go from a 9800gt to a HD4870 512mb/1gigbut it would prolly be better to get a more modern card like a HD 5770 1 gig or what stated above a HD 5850

noted, yea theres alot of way to reduce HD usage. I listen to internet radio instead of filling the HD up with music and i'm only planing on puting only a few games on it. so far i only have fallout 3 and medeival total war. I got some movies on here best the rest i'll use a dvd
