Theres a reason why all of Blizzard's games get top ratings, and are huge successes, and if a game isn't up to par, they scrap it (Ex. SC Ghost), there are few, or maybe no companies that spend that much time developing, testing, and perfecting their games like Blizzard does.

Blizzard is one of the best, if not the best PC game company out there right now, and they will be for a while if they keep up their work.

BTW this comes from a non WoW player, WoW is an excellent game, although at sometimes too easy or time consuming, i prefer MMO's like FFXI, but I love Blizzard none the less because of their endless dedication to their games, after 10 years their still releasing patchs and tournments for Starcraft, something almost no other companies do for their games.

Total War games do so count...

Rome: Total War FTW!

It's the only game that you exercise actual tactics and strategy, and it's not just "who can build more units faster"

Uncle_Uzi

LoL.....

And you don't exercise actual tactics and strategyin WC3?Well the noobs who have 20% win rates don't, but thats why they suck.

RTS for me is about microing every unit for me, and you't cant micro anythingin Total War series.

Free MMORPGs? i mean come on are you to cheap to pay 12.50 a month, i mean if you want some crappy mmorpg with no balance, and outdated go right ahead. But paying like 12 bucks a month gets u content updates, keeps the hackers away, and makes sure that the game is actually decent or it wouldn't cost money monthly.

Hands down FFXI is the most original and most fun of all the MMO's i've played. The only reason people don't like it much is because they're lazy and think it's "too hard" for them. They're to lazy to find a party, and gain levels, and do the long interesting quests in the game. I would rather spend 30 hours leveling with a party in FFXI than 15 hours leveling alone in WoW.

Cordinating spells and using weapon skills properly in FFXI was a must, and that's what made the game so fun, if people gave it and chance and didn't quit after getting level 30 the game would be huge right now, its much deeper than any other MMO and has a much better story and quest system and rewards. The only thing i really disliked aboutFFXI was the gil-sellers and bot's but hey every game has them, FFXI just has a higher level of them, so instead of going out and camping a monster for an item for hours, just farm the money for hours and buy the item.

Starcraft hands down, because you get to control every aspect and have to use micro skills to win, unlike DoW where half your units are squads and requires minimal micro. I played DoW for a week and got bored out of my mind, and ive been playing SC since the day it was released and its still good.... another reason is custom games in SC: )

Now a days, everyone only wants eye candy. The most important part of a game, is the game play, not the graphics, all the games that come out now, got good graphics, and crap game play.

Also all blizzard games get a good score, thats cuz they don't focus on eye candy like every other company.
