In the "stack of games" image on the homepage, there's a Wii version of Batman: Arkham Asylum (right above Metal Gear Solid 4). Unless I'm very mistaken, there was never a Wii version of that game.

Nothing too much else to say here. Just wanted to point out the error! Hope it helps.

2000 hours is probably pretty dangerous, no offense... The vast majority of my gaming experience is online, but in terms of offline I'd say that I spent the most time just screwing around in Oblivion (probably close to 100 hours total, with many new characters made) even though I never finished a quest line other than the arena. XD

I think '07 definitely was better. It seems like the vast majority of titles that we were expecting in the Fall of '09 have been moved to 2010. I think next year is probably going to be my favorite year in gaming thus far. -Final Fantasy XIII -Mass Effect 2 -Heavy Rain -Bioshock 2 -Super Mario Galaxy 2 -New Super Mario Bros. Wii -New Zelda (probably) -Metroid: Other M -Golden Sun DS -Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker -Metal Gear Solid: Rising -Alan Wake -Star Wars: The Old Republic To be honest, I'm much more excited about any given game on this list than any given one on your list. It honestly looks like 2010 is shaping up to be one of the biggest years yet in gaming.

15 is a good size. Fits into backpacks well, and the resolution is still fairly large so it won't strain your eyes over long periods. Gaming + college = fail. Don't go into college planning to game, only game if you have found nothing better to do within the first month.

Well, the catch is (no joke) I have a seminar on narratives in online gaming which requires us to level a LOTRO character as part of the homework. So I sort of have no choice. :P Obviously, either of those laptops can run LOTRO, but I just want to be able to play Crysis or The Witcher at High settings when it's late, I'm bored, and there isn't really anything going on.

The specific models I'm looking at are:

ASUS G51VX-RX05: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=9366651&st=g51vx&lp=1&type=product&cp=1&id=1218092150636

ASUS G71GX-RX05: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=9366615&st=g71gx&lp=1&type=product&cp=1&id=1218092150740

I'm going to be using my laptop for quite a while, and I want to strike a balance between portability and power. I want to make sure that I'll still be able to run new games in a couple of years, but I'll also need to be able to lug it around from class to class. Are 17-inch laptops really more inconvenient for this or is the difference not too large? Thanks!

Oh, that tantalizing green power ring... And even though I'm sure the PC version was more fun, pretty much all multiplatorm stuff nowadays sells best on 360.

I agree with your review. I rented it through GameFly a couple weeks ago and finished it in about 2 days because I was so hooked. It's a great game and I honestly don't know why it reviewed so poorly. Not recently in gaming has there been as awesome of a feeling as swinging at high-speed across exit signs and tree branches, jumping off, and slamming down with a giant shockwave to take out 3 enemies. It's just...fun. Have reviewers forgotten that fun is the primary purpose of a game? :P That said, the story and dialogue were cringe-worthy. If they just didn't include a story, it wouldn't have been so bad, but they tried so hard at it and, unfortunately, failed miserably.
