@WarHead2011 When I see what the US get's it's kind of disappointing in comparison but that doesn't make it a bad deal, I still think you get your money worth. I asked it a while back to the guy who is doing the EU stuff and he says the European part of these companies are independed from their US branch and are better in giving away the games then the US ones. There is unfortunately nothing Sony can do about that. Maybe it's that EU customers more often buy the DLC that comes with the free games and making it more profitable for them. You can always buy a EU Plus subscription...

@WheelerJared When you buy now you get 15 months instead of 12. It's a really good deal although the Euro is a bit more expensive then the $.

I think it's great (former) major Nelson think it's important to be in Japan because it is. Yes it's kind of racist to suggest the whole country is as soulful as a Zen garden but hey he's trying, kind of. Yes it will be an amazing opportunity to get into contact with Japanese developers but I think it's a hard sell. The current Xbox is doing nothing and doesn't has the games Japanese folks care for. With the lack of any market except for the US one it's sure to fail again.

This is not at all free to play. It's a demo at it's best and not one you can download from the store but is forced on you. I read somewhere they sold an extra 1 million songs after they forced the icon on us so it's paying off but it's time to have an option in there to turn it off. And if you call it free to play you should at least add some complete free songs on there.

@inscript (Most) Japanese people really don't buy a console, they buy a specific game that they care for and then get the console that comes with it. No significant Japanese titles are ready for the PS4 on launce day so they wait to release it until that certain game is there. It's not Sony being disrespectful to their home market but knowing their home market.

What is more... disappointing is MS. They promised to release in 21 countries but paddled back and 8 countries got to hear MS doesn't care for them (Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Netherlands, Norway, Russia, Sweden, Switzerland). More astounding is that for instance Xbox has about 50% of it's market share in the Netherlands but a much smaller % in France.

But if that is not enough of the 13 countries the console releases in only 5 languages are supported by their Kinect. Voice communication is presented as 1 of the most imported selling points (they even started their first press show with that but for most users it's an option that may or may not be implemented ever.

On topic, can't wait to play Beyond Two Souls. MS is promising to support their system for 3 more years but show no decent exclusive, PS had 21 this year with games like The Last of Us, God of War, Puppeteer, Rain and GT to name just a few.

@DukeMagnum Eh, yes... Sure company's go bust like happened before. Many went bust like the once popular kingdom quest series, like the over produced and expensive Wing Commander series and it's spinoff. Like the companies that jumped on the Myth band wagon. And I'm sure that will happen to Assassin's Creed and Battlefield and as always some new amazing developers will emerge from the rumble and do the exact same thing again.

@WIGGLENOMICS As a white European guy I never gave it any thought. It was until I came to the US it was pointed out to me that some comedies where 'black' and other were 'white'. I never saw the colours. I just saw some funny assholes in Married with Children and a fun loving successful family at The Cosby Show. I didn't see a difference between Alf and the Fresh Prince (show whise). just loved them all because they where funny.
I also don't project myself on Niko Bellic or Nathan Drake because their colour but because of the story just like I project myself on Eddie Murphy's character in Beverly Hills Cop.
But I get what you are saying.

@Zoza24 Have you ever played LittleBigPlanet (PS3)? You can really make your own games in there. It's amazing how much flexibility the create mode has but it's really, really hard to make something good but a lot of community people are making amazing stuff.

Not sure. It's not that I didn't liked Mass Effect but you landed on a huge space ship or planet and you had to stumble trough 15 corridors of cover based shooting on to the next ship or planet to do the same. All the mining was boring and traveling trough your own ship took forever with all the loading.
