@destinynoobs You have it wrong. You must play until level 20, then buy the DLC, then buy the next games and associated DLC to get the full experience before you can bash Destiny.
I could really care less about multiplayer in an RPG. The Elder Scrolls & Fallout series are great games, because they're massive and built upon rich worlds. They do it without the stupid multiplayer. I don't see companies insist on doing this.
Look at GTA Online as an example.
It's meh, to say the least. It's mildly entertaining, but I feel the game could have done without it, and the energy and resources would've benefited the SP experience more.
@Metallicwolf29 I think it's in general, which is including a lot of the tablet/Facebook games. If the number of game requests I receive from the females on my FB wall is any indication, I would say the 48% is accurate.
@andrecaseiro Not sure where you're getting the $75.00 number for next gen as it has not changed from last gen.
As for price, probably because they're expensive to produce and have a greater long term value over say, movies. Which in that respect, you'll be spending around $9.00 for popcorn & a drink. Let's also be honest - I've seen very few movies worthy of spending $20.00 to see them in the theater. Perhaps something like Gravity, but most of them are a Redbox.
Danny, you nailed it as always. I remember your piece about game worlds prior to GTA V's release.
Despite the opinion of GTA being "overrated" and WD not being a GTA clone, I can't hep but feel let down by this game. It's fun. But at the end of the day, the memories of the first time opening the Vault in FO3, the first car ride in GTA V, the opening scene of Skyrim, the first meeting with Vaas from FC3, and those first moments of the AC games, all hold fond memories.
@bsnimunf I disagree. The 1940s city of Los Angeles, while not as "immersive" as GTA, Fallout, or TES, it still felt enveloping. For me, it was more of living in a movie than a living, breathing, world.
Watch Dogs is fun, but the the City of Chicago isn't near as immersive.
