Some various PS2 games. Okami, Beyond Good and Evil, The Suffering, Final Fantasy X...

When I get my new computer working, will probably pick up the new Dragon Age and Civilization games.

@jun_aka_pekto: They wouldnt happen to go in the coloured panel in the top left of the third picture, would they? I plugged them in just now and I'm getting a clicking noise, plus the light beside the power switch is coming on. I still can't get the fans to spin, though.

It's a little tricky. There's no labels on the motherboard that indicate where the correct cables go.

@jun_aka_pekto: I didn't think those had to be manually setup.

First-time builder problems...

Title pretty much explains the situation. I tried some advised common fixes that I found online, such as running my setup without the video card installed, putting the RAM in different slots, etc. Nothing seems to be working; the computer simply will not power up and I don't know what I did wrong. As far as I know, I plugged all the cables in correctly but of course I could be wrong. I'm gonna include some pictures of my setup in its current state and see if we can figure anything out. I hope it's not due to any faulty components; I understand that's known to happen sometimes.

Note that I didn't try testing it out with the monitor plugged in yet. I doubt that's the issue in particular, but feel free to suggest otherwise.

Also, if you find the pictures problematic, let me know if there's anything I can do. Thank you for your help.

@ferrari2001: I'll check it out. I downloaded LOOT, which is supposed to be very similar to BOSS, but I don't really like it. Haven't used it since I installed all my mods.

Alright guys, this one's a doozy. I need you to help me out before I lose my fucking mind.

I've been experiencing crashes at random where the game will randomly tab out after I exit my menus. It happens at complete random, can either play for an hour and not have it happen at all, or the game can crash 3 times within a span of 10 minutes. And since the game crashes every time it tabs out (i.e. i cannot tab out or the game will crash), this means that I have to keep rebooting the game every single time to keep playing. It's beginning to really interfere with my gameplay, and this cannot happen if I want to complete this game.

Drivers are not an issue, as I updated them not too long ago. Graphics card is not an issue, as it performs well on every other game I play with its temperature never exceeding 60 degrees Celsius (in other words, it runs well enough). I looked briefly online, and so far I have come up with no helpful solutions to the problem.

It could be something to do with my add-ons, I still don't know yet. This is what I'm hoping to find out. I am running the game with the Script Extender (i.e. I use the Script Extender shortcut every time I play), SkyUI, Smart Cast, and a bunch of graphics mods. Not a lot, so you'd think the game would run relatively smoothly with no problems.

If this has happened to you and you know what the fix is, let me know ASAP. Thanks.

It could be that it may be time for a new PC. My gaming rig is four years old now and though it's still functional, it's just not holding up the way it used to. This might be irrelevant to the issue above, but my computer does all sorts of weird shit. I've been having constant problems for a month now.

@c_rakestraw: I didn't think it made a difference. Is that why they won't appear at the same time?

@mastermetal777: Then you must have the best working memory in the world because I cannot get past him. EVEN when I memorize the correct locations and use the paintbrush in the right spots. It doesn't work. If it's not EXACT, it won't let you through.

These have to be without a doubt the most poorly designed mini-games I have ever played, bar none. I am currently stuck on the Blockhead puzzle in Kusa Village where there's 4 points I have to memorize.

I've concluded that it is impossible, and cannot be completed due to the astoundingly broken nature of this mini-game. The dots only appear on the screen for about 2 seconds, and they don't even appear at the same time, so it's impossible for me to remember exactly where the dots are. And there were even attempts where I used the paintbrush in the correct spots, but they didn't count because one of the dots was a nanometre away from the correct location. I cannot do these. I have tried this mini-game about 50 times and I cannot get past it no matter what I do. EVEN with taking pictures.

And to think there's Blockheads later where I'll have to memorize 8 dots....YIKES.

There has to be a cheat where I can skip these sections. I just simply do not have that robust of a working memory. The dots are on the screen for two fucking seconds. That is simply not enough time.

I can't believe that such a broken mess of a mini-game made it past QA testing and into the final game. This mini-game ruined Okami for me, and it's a real shame because I was really enjoying this game and wanted to play it to the end. The game was a 9/10 before these puzzles. Now, it's probably a 5 at most. I cannot get any farther no matter what I do.

If there's a cheat, or there's even a trick to this that I'm somehow not getting, please let me know. I really want to finish this game and see everything it has to offer. I want to skip these sections. They are just simply no fun for me, and only serve to take away and in this particular case, ruin the experience.
