Just posted a new blog demonstrating the many faces of a gamespot thread. Should be a fun read, enjoy! (Btw this forum also has chance to make it in ; ))

I miss cheat codes, I remember during the 90s if you got a game it was always fun to check and see what kind of interesting codes you could receive. I really wish they would bring cheat codes back into regular use. For example I remember in Goldeneye there was a code to make all of your bullets land as paintball splats.

Aggressive Inline, I used to play that game so much, Xplay even rated it the greatest game nobody played.

I have two. I thought Fallout 3 was the biggest hunk of junk ever (omg look it's another rock!)but somehow everyone loved it. The other is Blazblue, 12 characters, an annoying intro, a confusing story, generic anime characters (another spikey haired guy with a big sword, where have i seen that before?). Not to mention the game didn't have enough stages.

I was thinking the other day about how to make an interesting deer hunting game. Most of the time what ends up being a problem with these games is you end up spending forever looking for a deer just to end up getting bored and shooting trees.

To the point, basically my idea istoinstead create a surplus of deer in the forest tokill with thegoalbeing to kill as many as possible in a set time. The fun of the game would be finding better weapons in the forest and upgrading things like putting spikes on the front of your atv. I would like the game to run off the Red Faction: Guerilla engine so that all trees could be knocked down onto the deer. Weapons would be things like chainguns, rocket launchers, exploding arrows, rebarcrossbows, swords, etc. Anything fun basically.

The only multiplayer mode Ihave thought of so far is a capture theflag scenario where both teams start on opposite sides of the map trying to capture the others flag. The catch is, the deer are still there, and for every kill you get one point. Flags however, would count for about 50 points, so even if the other team has their base defended you can still win and/or they are forced to come out and find you to stop you from killing the deer.

Here are my opinions, you don't have to agree with them, but I think they give a quick roundup of what games are good and bad.

-Wario Ware Snapped! = Waste of time, camera hardly ever recognizes you, novelty wears off fast when it does, you have to have a steadytable to setyour ds on.

-Art Style: Aquia = Simple yet fun puzzle game, probably most unique game for download, little difficult to learn at first, can be hard, excellent sound, rewards are lame.

-Dr. Mario = familiar game, rediculously hard AI at times, one of the better games, simple yet fun and colorful.

-Bird and Beans = Kinda hard to beat high score at first, addicting as heck, cheap, two game modes for unlock, worth it.

-Master of Illusion games = Novelty wears off fast, requires other people most of the time, the one trick for entertiainment of player is easily "figured out".

-Brain Age: Math = Plenty of game modes, nice tracking system, challenge based on self progress, people with shakey hands may find writing on lower screen difficult, fun easter eggs.

Grand Theft Auto 4: By getting all grey and gritty they lost the comical appeal and funny kills, that's what makes GTA fun. Saints Row 2 was better in my opinion.

Fallout 3: Great, just a wasteland, that's beautifully dull. Rented it, played it three brief times, destroyed megaton in hatred, sent it back.

World of Warcraft: Stale graphics, endless grind, clunky pvp, population largely based on popular culture (it's the "in crowd" game, therefore people are less friendly). Other games have made further advancements and Blizzard tries to copy them by implementing things like "anywhere-pvp" and "achievements" but the game wasn't built from the ground up for those things so they feel tacked on.

So i'm a little confused, Ign shows DsiWare on their unique web page saying thatthe games will be available at launchbut i don't see any of the games that they display like Mr. Driller or Puzzle League even on the DsiWare shop right now. Where do i find the clock and the maps? And what's with the regular DS titles like New Super Mario Bros. that they said were DsiWare as well, where are they?

Lumines, the game everyone told me to buy but when i finally got it i realized that you have to start the game every time on the same level with the same song over.......and over.....and over until you beat it. (I think i only got 4 levels in before i sold it back to gamestop for like 2 dollars, that was the best burger and fries i've ever had).

Well the ones I marked there I have, so I like all those genres. As you can tell i'm not really a big fan of minigame collections. I've been intrigued by Manhunt 2 and Battalion Wars 2 although I never played the first game in either series. Resident Evil Umbrella Chronicles looks cool but I'm not sure about it's replay value. I used to like house of the dead in the arcade though.

I know I mentioned I have gamefly so technically i could rent these things, but I'm looking more to getting back a decent collection of games for Wii after stupidly selling almost all of them.
