I tried this game when it was still subscription based and it could not capture my attention. I tried again when it became F2P, same story. Some of the content is really interesting, and it can be fun for quite awhile if you don't have anything better to do, but honestly, I'd rather go back to playing RuneScape than pick this up again. Its a shame, really.
I don't care much about the lawsuit, but I am terribly disappointed that 38 went under. Reckoning reminded me of what Fable should've been. I would've really liked to see a sequel. Fetch quests and all.
I definitely think that I am the minority here, but I am happy that the Ouya exists. I always see a lot of comments about how "it doesn't meet the quality of the 360 and PS3" or "Android isn't a serious platform for gaming", but honestly, I'm not sure it is trying to be those things.
I think the purpose of the Ouya is to give more freedom to the people that play the games. It is an inexpensive console that is widely available and easy to program for. We aren't going to get amazing graphics, but we can still get incredibly good game-play. With Android being an open OS, anyone will be able to develop for it. The barrier between developer and player will be even smaller. It is a great place to get a start. Maybe the Ouya will give creator of the next giant studio its start.
Or it could just be a shameless cash in. Who knows.
1. This is the Internet, and they can do whatever they want (e.g. not only satisfying anti-Microsoft hippies like yourself).
2. PSN was hacked by anonymous, they're alright and all, but most powerful team of hackers? You obviously didn't see the trailer for Watch Dogs. Anyway, during the PSN hack personal information was stolen and you're all anal-pained over somebody fudging their gamer score?
Gamespot, I think you're fun. Please continue to be fun and ignore asshats like matastig.
