Amazon, humble, and greenman, all sell steam keys on sale every day. If that's not your thing, Origin, Uplay, Gog, Windows store, Battlenet, and Twitch all have PC games for sale as well. Gog give games away for nothing. Twitch gives away games to Amazon Prime members.
Of course PS4 has their amazing exclusives, but man, if you're looking for deals on 3rd party games, PC is the place to go.
I just bought them in a bundle a few months back. I started the China one because it has the best reviews... it's very boring. I'm like 2 hours in and it's still holding my hand giving me tutorials. Play Mark of the Ninja instead, and if you played it already just play it again.

iBushido, I'm not sure how the preorder works on PSN but on Steam I believe it's to get people to download a locked copy early so that their servers don't get pummeled at midnight. Maybe Sony is just working towards that future.
I don't think the writer understands that Assassin's Creed 3 IS a refreshing looking sequel that is part of a franchise that is truly original. This article reads like an indie developer's mainstream-hating blog. Listen to yourself. "WAAA!! YOU'RE BUYING THE WRONG GAMES!" The customer is always right.
