In real life should i be sniped from across a casino roof with an MP9 it's redonkulous and needs to be fixed. For those of you who don't know what I'm talking about a 9MM round cannot travel at a great enough velocity to maintain its intended trajectory In this case across a casino roof long enough.skazbot

Well it depends. In real life the MP9 has an effective range of 75-90 meters. The casino roof is probably around that distance so I am not surprised. In real life if you get hit in the head with a bullet from pretty much any distance you will drop. It's a game and I just don't understand why everyone gets so bent about how each gun works. I hear people complaining that the submachine guns are better then the assault rifles, but everyone has the option of using any gun they would like so why not use the submachine gun? Depending on how I feel I will use an assault rifle or a submachine gun, but I'm not going to complain if someone kills me with an MP9 if I'm using a MTAR, I'll say good shot. Most military units use submachines guns in close combat because of the rate of fire and the lack of recoil. RB6 maps are considered close combat.

I have a large HDTV but if my wife or kids are watching a movie I will play on my computer monitor. It is a 22" widescreen Westinghouse that has numerous plug in options. I actually play better on the 22" because I am sitting closer then I am with my large TV. Best buy is selling the Westinghouse 22" monitor for $399 right now. They are sold out online but they have them at the store.

This is speculation and a long shot but would it be possible that Microsoft will release a black version of the 360 in the next 12 months?

In the recent Xbox live poll, they showed the possibility of an upgraded black Xbox controller being released within a year. Along with that there has been some ideas of that bigger hard drive coming out.. So could it be that we could see some kind of Deluxe package that offers even more than the Premium? Black Xbox 360 & black controllers along with a bigger hard drive perhaps? Along side with other stuff of course..

Discuss the possibility..

Would you want one?

Yes, but it will never work.

I phoned MS and after telling the guy my details around 18 times because he couldnt understand what I was saying (damn call centers) he ran me through the whole plug unplug routine and it finally stopped crashing when I held A to clear the memory buffer or whatever it is.

However download the R6Vegas demo tonight gets into the game and there it goes again crashes, no clearing the buffer this time so looks like its either a HDD problem or something to do with the console.

I'll give them another call tomorrow but can anyone tell me, if I got a new HDD would I recover my xblive tag and points etc? I have my saves backed up on a mem card (precaution) so should I be able to regain whatever I lose or will MS freeze them out?

just a thought

Take off the HDD and play a game. If it still freezes then it most likely is not the HDD.

As destructive as the main title sounds, this thread actually is all about helping each other into solving their 360 related problems. I've been putting money away for three salaries now to get myself this XBOX and in two weeks I will have the whole amount...But when I saw this thread, it got me thinking and I've decided not to get it at this point and wait a few more months until another version comes out and fixes these issues...Let me tell you why, let me tell you about the biggest bullsh*t of them all. I'm from Romania and this console hasn't been officially launched here yet (who gives a sh*t about us, right?) and my viable option is to get it from someone who brings them from a different country, like Germany or France...I'm not going to take my chances and buy it like this without a real thing to grab onto and put my mind at ease that the 500 EUROS I'd pay are well spent (of course someone doing this stuff for a living has to have his own fee) and that I won't have any problem with the device...No warranty whatsoever for me!
About that Romanian launch date: 1 September 2007!!! And for the premium price of 600 EUROS!!! Can you believe this bullsh*t?
Sanjuro_Satsuma
I totally agee w/ you. I would not buy this console w/o a warranty. I have not purchased any electornics over $300 w/ a warranty in the past 2 years and it has saved me a lot of money.

[QUOTE="Slappnuttz"][QUOTE="l-_-l"]I swear, the more I read this thread, the more I am glade I aint getting my kids this piece of junk (not because it is a xbox, but because from what I have read, it really IS actually a piece of junk). And man I was really looking forward to getting one too.l-_-l

Yea, you're smart. Ok not really but anyways. There are over 5 million 360s sold and you are making a decision off of a topic about broken consoles? Between my friends and I we have 20 360s and only one has broken and that was a launch console. Then you can add my other 30 XBL friends and they haven't had any issues. So out of 50 consoles we have had 1 that has a problem. Now that is only 2%, but lets go off the 5% that MS has said is the defective rate. Out of 5 million consoles there would be 250k /- that are defective.

Then you have to consider the fact that the majority of people that send their console into MS get a refurbished console back (this is where the major issue is) and those refurbished consoles are junk. So you take the 250k /- that are defective and then fixed (refurbished ) are sent back out which totally skews the numbers.

If you purchase a 360 you need to purchase one from BB or CC or a store where you can take the console back to them and get a brand new console. But if you'd like to base your decision off of a thread that is only about broken consoles, then be my guest. But that is like going to an AA meeting and saying that every person in the world is an alcoholic because everyone in the meeting is.

Also, you have to remember what happened when the PS2 was launched. I went through 3 and most of my friends had to go through 2 or 3 before they got one that lasted longer then 2 months before taken a crap on them. The 360 is the only console that I have purchased w/in the 1st year of launch that has lasted longer then 2 months w/o breaking on me. My launch PS1 was crap and so was my launch PS2. I had such a bad taste in my mouth from those that I waited over 2 years before I got my original xbox. New generations of consoles will always have issues, just like new models of automobiles, tvs, cd players, etc......

P.S. I have had my 360 since March 23rd and I have had no problems. But I also bought mine from BB w/ the 2 year warranty so if it does break on me, I can take it back and get a brand new console.

Your pretty smart, well not at all, but I figured I would try to be nice to somebody that knows nothing about me yet wants to make a ass of themselfs acting like they do. I didn't base my dicision on this thread ole narrow minded one. I based it on the news reporting about it, alot of my friends telling me about their system and then I came here and read this thread which helped alittle bit more on my deciding not to get one. Next time, make sure you know what your talking about so you don't come off looking so dumb. This thread was nothing more than the final straw. If you was smart enough to have read my first post in this thread, you would have known I already had issues with buying one, I just came here to see how common of a problem it was.

Lol then you say I have to remember the PS2 launch. Um..... no I don't I don't care about the PS2 launch because guess what, I aint interested because thats not the console I was considering buying, the 360 was. So I could care less to know anything about a console that doesn't concern me.

lol, ok I guess you put me in my place. I don't know you and don't care to. I based my opinion off of what you said in both of your posts, you said "Thank you sooooooo much for talking me out of getting a 360 for my kids".... I didn't see you say or imply that you based your decision off of the news and or your friends and then this topic. I guess I have to ask 20 questions before I can actually call someone out here.

My friend just called me and he is having trouble w/ his 360. It is his 2nd refurbished console from MS. He is the only one out of the 19 friends of mine that have a 360 that has had a problem but his was the only launch console. Anyway, the problem he is having is his 360 will all of a sudden freeze and there will be small boxes all over the screen but he does not get a error code. Is this the end of his 3rd console or is he doing something wrong to make this happen?
