Just hold out for Ultimate or GOTY editions. They include everything for a fraction of the cost. Plus, digital pre-order/limited edition exclusives are generally timed, meaning you can get them later, assuming they don't already come in a GOTY edition.

This game died in my heart when you could purchase kit shortcuts. Rented servers (which can be fun, but usually aren't) in addition to this is just the final blow in what was once a great game.

Yeah I'd prefer some dip in graphical quality for a consistent 60 FPS. No complaints on that front.

I liked it. It wasn't amazing, but it was interesting. Perhaps not worth your money, but worth your time at least.

"From the second you spawn into your first 3D world, you're punching trees to harvest wood, digging deep into the underground to mine resources, forging handy tools, battling creepers, and building fortresses to year heart's content--or not, depending on personal preferences.

Lol. Typo.

@Vodoo @DarkAztaroth It's really just worth whatever you want to pay. If you love Minecraft and will get endless joy from it, $20 is fine. If you hate it, well it doesn't matter how much it costs then. It's all about perspective

That's $8 million bucks in one day, not even counting sales tax where applicable. Man oh man.

Console browsers and mobile browsers are still years off from being anywhere near as useful and as full fledged as a PC/Mac browser.

Haha. I ALWAYS get angry at people who say all Xbox gamers are immature and always buy Call of Duty map packs (many of you Game Spotters have said so, believe me). Generalizing is silly. I would simply say that the PS3 has more of these titles, not that its audience is more mature.

Funny. You mention ultimate editions rendering all of that useless. Some games don't get ultimate editions, but when they do, that's when I get them. Basically, if you're patient, you can bypass all of the madness and get the entire game for a low price. Some games I want when they come out because I'm eager to play, but beyond that, I'll just buy up old titles and enjoy them in a steady stream while new stuff is sifted down into a lower price range.
